I'll give a clue. It starts with sanc and ends in tions. Americans couldn't do banking transactions with Iran. Therefore the money was paid as if a weapons sale with terrorists was taking place. People should be in jail for it.

Waiting for someone to catch that. Pretty amazing the US government doesn't have that much US bills on hand so they had to BUY foreign currency to make up the short. Wonder how much that currency cost us.
