Obviously Tom has never voted.

Obviously you forgot Florida 2000.

True. There are others. Al Franken comes to mind. Many more.

You guys could at least try to be honest.

These were rarities pre-2000. Status Quo now.

Im not the person saying "We've had election results on election night *all* of my life" as a giant attempt at an exaggeration.

And yes, there are *scores* of under card elections (US Rep and the sort) that have gone on for days in my lifetime.

Try every flipping race in Alaska since god know when.

Happened to be volunteering for a number that I can remember as well.

The difference is that *every* race is now under an instant microscope now due to the near real time news cycle -- something that wasnt prevalent even 12 years ago.

So, no, Bartlett -- you are simply incorrect. The only difference is that now *everyone* knows about the CA 22 race (and every other one, including AZ Atty General) in near real time and to an extent and breadth that wouldnt have been contemplated 12 years ago.

I will absolutely give you that the number has increased -- more than likely because the prevalence of local jurisdictions adopting the Alaska model of allowing vote by mail with the 'postmarked by' rule and the 'delivered to the hot grubby hands of the clerk office by' rule.

But you are dead wrong in your original statement and in your retreat from that statement.

Obviously Tom has never voted.

We have never had election results on election night. We have had media election desks calling the election because they believe the current leaders margin is too high to be overcome by the outstanding votes.

The closer the election the more likely the "harder to count" votes come into play like provisional and military ballots and the more likely it takes days to call a winner.

Actual official election results are never on election night.

I guess you dont like facts or issues that go against your train of thought or rhetorical excess. Bummer.

When you cant some up with a fact or counterpoint -- go the ignorant route and go personal I guess.

Must suck to *have* to automatically respond to a non-personal comment and counterpoint like you do above.

As I said -- life must be loads of fun in Casa Barteet. Toodles mi amigo.

Fairly certain that E V E R Y state in the union does not declare final results in their elections for at least 1 week if not 2 or more. And that's been the process for DECADES.

What's hilarious are these people who, likely through ignorance don't even realize it, are wanting the MSM to tell them who won on election night.

Good luck. 03-lol

Quote:Chief Justice Robert Brutinel wrote in the ruling that the court will determine whether Lake can prove her claim that Maricopa County failed to comply with Arizona law regarding ballot tabulation. Lake will also have to show that "votes [were] affected 'in sufficient numbers to alter the outcome of the election'" based on a "competent mathematical basis to conclude that the outcome would plausibly have been different, not simply an untethered assertion of uncertainty."

That's the problem with post-election lawsuits. They fail, not because there was no fraud, but because after the fact you can't prove what you need to win. The burden of proof is almost impossible to meet after the fact. Vote fraudsters know that and know that if they can get fraudulent ballots into the box, they ain't coming back out.

Back to one of the very basic points -- maybe it was a poor idea for her to piss away the McCain wing of the party. It was a very close race.

That's it. Trump failed miserably in stopping all these green light for voter fraud lawsuits filed by the Democrats to eliminate ballot security. The Democrats had advertised they were hiring thousands of election lawyers and Trump and the RNC were totally asleep at the switch.

A prime example of your, "I wish my enemies had better enemies."

In at least 5 states, Trump did file suit to do just that pre-election. The problem with 4 of them is that his legal argument was invalid. The states actually had done it the proper way.

In the 5th, Trump fked up and had some third party file suit who didnt have standing. Even when notified, they never got the proper party to file suit.

The issue wasnt the lawsuits filed by Dems on that issue that he didnt fight, the issue is that the Repubs got over politic-ed in the statehouses that passed laws to do just that.

But your asleep at the switch is still valid.

Independent review of the printer issues in Maricopa County from 2022 is now complete. Basically, a perfect storm of circumstances caused the printer failures. Not really much that could have been done to prevent it.

Translation, no, this was not intentional to steal anything...as rational thinking people were already well aware of.

Care to elaborate? Did you read any of the report? It's extremely detailed and explains exactly went wrong any why. None of which was related to anyone stealing anything. 07-coffee3

Please...detail for us all what the review missed?

Attorney Kurt Olson:

"Is it your testimony that the printer set changes that led to the so-called "shrink to fit" issue was that done on Election Day?"

Maricopa County Elections Director Scott Jarrett:

"That's correct."

Did he answer that with a smirk? He knew it would cause Lake a loss and it's not important now, she is listed in the history books as losing the gubernatorial race. Since it happened and the stupid Reps were caught with their pants down can we call it the "goobernatorial" race? The Reps are such goobers.

Its not a good idea---but that has nothing to do with why cheating pays. The reality is it doesnt really matter weather the McCainites vote with her or not as long as the other side is cheating. The cheaters are always going to know how many mail in votes are needed after election day---they just need time to "find them".

I don't know how much was due to fraud and how much was due to pissing off the McCain wing. I suspect some of both. I also suspect that if she had not pissed off the McCain voters, the margin would have been too great to cheat--both numerically and because it would be a whole lot harder to get fraudulent votes into the system if you had the McCain machine on your side looking out for you.

The big story of the 2020 and 2022 election cycles is that establishment republicans in key states stood by and allowed democrats to change the rules to make it easier for fraudulent votes to get cast, apparently because they would rather see Joe Biden as president than Donald Trump as head of the republican party.

The RINOs remind me of suicide bombers dying to make futile points—-but with no real hope of victory. They may be able to temporarily derail the ability of Republicans to win—-but the RINOs are essentially done as they no longer have the ability to even win a primary. They will slowly either mellow into obedient Republicans or become non-voters once they figure out the Democrats are even less representative of their views than real conservatives. Democrats don’t give a crap about them at all....and even the dopiest of the McCainiacs will eventually figure that out. I didn’t much care for McCain, especially his later years, but I suspect even he would think the current destructive and divisive policies of the Biden Administration are far too extreme and in need of being stopped.
