Folks around here no I'm a natural contrarian - if everyone is saying "up" I will say "down" on general principle, even if I really think "up" is correct.

So I've been trying to figure out a way to have Notre Dame win this game. But I just can't. And I've been waiting my whole life to see Notre Dame play in the Rose Bowl.

Notre Dame ........ 20

Go Irish.

Notre Dame gets a Rose Bowl bid...and plays it in Texas. Will be weird seeing that logo in Jerry World.

Spread of 19.5 points. I'd take Bama to cover but good luck to the Irish.

Football games tend to last 60 minutes. Good teams tend to make adjustments. I agree Alabama has a lot more speed. But this game is far from over. Notre Dame is beginning to use their bulk in the middle. Now each time Alabama gets a stop and scores after it will help them slowly pull away. But to say it's over is way too premature!

1 thing to remember is Alabama will get the ball to start the 2nd half. If Alabama can double up- it's going to make it really hard to have Notre Dame come back. ND has to get some stops- something they're not doing- 14 yards per play for bama right now.

Maybe the deep guys, but on those short sideline routes they are getting beat badly.

Notre Dame is 0-6 in BCS and NY6 bowls.
