RE: Arizona quarterback To Memphis
4.49 is the magic number.

At The Opening New Orleans, Brown ran a verified 4.49-second 40-yard dash, as well as a 4.37-second pro agility time. He added an impressive 35-inch vertical leap to finish with a 94.77 testing score, which put him fourth among more than 30 quarterbacks at the event.
FYI.....4.49 is Darrell Henderson's time in the 40. Antonio Gibson 4.39. Tony Pollard 4.37.

This isn't a case like Lynch taking over from Karam or Ferguson and White coming in as surefire #1 quarterbacks. I would have to think that the job is Gunnell's to lose, but Parrish and Brown are dynamite prospects who have both had a year in the system.

All of our quarterbacks must have been miserable knowing that there was no way to replace Ferguson or White. I don't think Gunnell will put anyone in that position. The competition should be a lot closer.

If gettingGunnel in the fold gets us one step closer to a top receiver then it must be someone that has played with him in the past. What would be wild if there was a guy that played with him in Texas AND Arizona.

Just rumors at this point.
Jalen Curry would be a great pick up but....nothing on that yet.

He officially entered the transfer portal yesterday, so fingers crossed...

IKE'S sources say TIGERNATION is in the mix for this young man,
We will be in great shape with receivers and our running game much improved because of these additions.
Ike believes good news coming sooner than later

10 catches for 89 yards on the season, but a 4* coming out of high school. No risk getting these guys in to see if they can reach their potential. Wide receivers and running backs are so dependent on their quarterback and offensive line. You can have average players with great stats because of the players around them, and great players with average stats because of the players around them.

He held offers from nearly 50% of P5 schools before signing with Arizona. He must have something. No idea what was going on in Arizona this year, other than the fact that they were horrible.

I think Arizona's problems can be "summed" up in 2 words.

I agree it will be interesting to see if Parrish looks at changing positions.

Why would he change positions?

I assume neither he nor Gunnell are coming here to sit the bench but one of them will. It sounds like Parish is a much better athlete so if he is looking at being a backup QB or a possible contributor at WR or something like then I just wonder if it is something he would consider or be interested in.

If Parish plays another position it'll be defensive

I never paid attention to the whole Xmas deal until I was older.

But you are right it is disrespectful to just replace it with an X.

RE: Arizona quarterback To Memphis
It is not necessarily replacing it with an X. The Greek letter Chi is denoted by the X, dating from several centuries ago. A Google search can fill in the details that Chi was used as a word that literally translates to Christ.

I am not anti- “Christmas”, but just wanted to make it known it isn’t as much of a disrespectful thing as it seems to some.

That "some" you refer to are Christians.

Hey I'll give you credit...Good info.

But on it's face it is disrespectful because most are not going to know that history. Many are ignorant to it...Including myself until today...Thanks for educating me.

I went to Catholic schools and the nuns and priests did not like the Xmas thing at all. If we ever used it......we were told that the correct name of the day was Christmas....not Xmas.

Nobody I know of was even brave enough to try that at my school. We would have undoubtedly ended up with a ruler to the back of the head courtesy of a nun if we had.

Those nuns were tough....particularly the older ones. You had to behave and if you didn't...no problem...they would kick you out of school....forever.
