If the rose bowl is moved and no longer considered the "Rose Bowl", instead just a simi-final game, does another NY6 bowl contractually required to take the pac-12 champ, that will be way lower than top 12?

Does it seem to anyone else that the official timeouts are longer than usual? Flipping around and all 6 games had commercials.

I'd assume so but who knows the way things are going?

How else to justify these bloated Conference deals with the networks?

If Clemson wins, they're in. If they lose, Texas A&M is in.

Florida and Iowa State in theory should go down. But losing to Alabama isn't really a loss so I doubt they will drop far if at all and I assume they will be ahead of Georgia if past precedent holds.

Iowa State?
They will drop below Oklahoma (or Oklahoma will move ahead of them, depending on how you look at it).
ISU vs. Florida? They both lost but Florida lost to Alabama which is #1 so I can definitely see Florida move ahead of them.
ISU vs. Georgia? I can see Georgia moving ahead because 2 losses is fewer than 3 and the Committee is definitely biased towards the SEC.
ISU vs. Indiana? 1 loss is less than 3. Indiana should be ahead although the Committee has been biased in favor of the Big 12 even though they sucked earlier this year vs. the Sun Belt.
ISU vs. Cincinnati? Assuming Cincinnati wins, it won't matter in terms of getting in the NY6.

Another thing to consider is do the bowls have to take the at large teams in order of CFP rankings or could they jump one? Maybe they think Indiana is a better TV draw. Nobody outside of Iowa watches Iowa State and most of them watch Iowa. Why should the Peach/Fiesta want Iowa State? Then again, is Indiana really a better draw? Georgia and Florida will draw eyeballs no problem.

They absolutely 100% have to take the teams rated in order

Clemson looks like the better team in the ACC. This could settle some scenarios.

If this keeps up, there are 4 options
A) AL vs ND and Clem vs OSU (assumes ND keeps it close and Alabama wins)
B) AL vs OU and Clem vs OSU (assumes ND gets wiped out and Alabama wins)
C) Clem vs UF and OSU vs AL (assumes ND gets wiped out and Gators win convincingly)
D) Clem vs OU and OSU vs AL (assumes ND gets wiped out and UF/Alabama is close)

Stop this nonsense. OU is a non factor for the CFP. A&M will be ahead of them no matter what. The highest they can go is 6.

so Orange Bowl question for this year. Is Notre Dame considered for that an ACC team or Notre Dame in Orange Bowl terms?

If Alabama wins tonight think we're looking at -
1 Alabama vs 4 Notre Dame
2 Clemson vs 3 Ohio St

Happy that my Buckeyes won the BIG Title today. Do they "deserve" to be in the CFP? I'm not 100% sure about that with only 6 games played, but I'm not going to argue one way or another about it. There are quite a few teams that could argue they deserve a spot, just ask Jimbo, and we shall see how it plays out.

Congratulations to all the teams that made their conference championship games!

ND losing by three scores. Makes no sense to put them in unless they get hot in the 2nd half. Is a road win @ND and Clemson win with most of that team out going to be enough?

A&M will be ranked ahead of Cincinnati and Coastal Carolina, but they don’t have the resume of a playoff participant. Oklahoma has already passed A&M; depending on how the Gators play the Tide, Florida can also pass the Aggies.

For the record, the SEC chose to play only in-conference games. Jimbo has no complaints if Ohio State and Oklahoma are deemed superior to A&M.

Wrong. Oklahoma will jump up 2-3 spots but that's about it.

Fox has done a tremendous job with the graphics for the MWC game. They’ve gone above and beyond, I love the cartoon Spartan lol.
