80-80 going to OT. Rockets led for almost 30 minutes of the game.

Littleson & Marreon a combined 4-21 from the floor. Millner, Rollins and Shumate leading the scoring. Thank goodness for that NCAA waiver.

lol OT

This game going to put people in the looney bin. NOW MJ decides to find his shooting touch. Two 3's in a row.

Shumate just doesn’t seem to have what it takes to play at this level. What? Really? Oh. Never mind. Bench is amazing tonight!

Marreon saved it for OT I guess, he's got 14 just in the overtime.

Great road win. Marshall is becoming the hoops equivalent of Arkansas State in football for us.

Marreon may have started slow but he certainly showed up in OT!

Maybe the best game for the Rockets so far this season, given that Marshall was 4-0 with some good wins.

shootin wasn't so great but 8 RBs and a couple steals for Shumate.

Acunzo, Hill and Saunders were 10-12 and 1-2

Bench production and efficiency was vital. Hope it continues.

RE: Rockets Face Undefeated Marshall on Wednesday
I listened to the radio feed. Sure wish I could have watched this beauty.

I don't know what these guys can accomplish, but they sure are entertaining.

This was a great win IMO for many reasons. Did this get MJ kick started so he can be the impact player he could/should be? Is JT the real deal (what a debut)? Can they run 8 - 9 deep and exploit match-ups? I think they are weak at the 5, but you bring to the dance what you bring. Given the JT eligibility decision as it is, and tonight wasn't an anomaly; getting another weapon should keep a coach up at night. Let's see how Coach K does this year given the circumstances.

Didn't they pick them 6th in the MAC? I think they might be better than that.

We'll see.

Big win. I did not have much faith going into this matchup. Classic K final 4 minutes of regulation

Finally got a close win. A couple of clutch time buckets are keeping us from being 7-1.

Weird game ... UT up 10 w/4-min to play and goes scoreless the final 4-min of the game. Marshall ties game with a min left, then goes scoreless the final min of regulation and first 3-1/2 minutes of OT.

College Basketball ladies and gentlemen.

RE: Rockets Face Undefeated Marshall on Wednesday
Well they say basketball is a game of runs and fortunately for Toledo, they got the last one in overtime 16-7! I said in an earlier post that we are going to need MJ to take over in certain situations and tonight was a perfect example of that. After blowing an 8 point lead at the end of regulation the Rockets were reeling and they needed their star player to take over and steady the ship. I would say 14 out of the team's 16 points scored in overtime by Jackson answered that call! While losing a late lead was troubling, I still loved how this team competed for 45 minutes against a very good Mid Major who had won their previous 4 games, including against Ohio, by double digits. Getting a combined 34 points off the bench from Shumate, Acunzo, Saunders and Hill was key to the victory. Other keys included a double/double by Freshman Ryan Rollins (16 and 10) and 15 points from Mr. Consistent, Seth Milner who was able to stay in the game the entire way despite foul trouble. While this was only one game, playing a smaller lineup with the new additions of Acunzo and Shumate to the rotation provides a lot of intrigue going into full time MAC play starting next week.

RE: Rockets Face Undefeated Marshall on Wednesday
Well, I spent the $7 for the mediocre stream. Marreon was pretty bad on offense all through regulation, and then spectacular in OT. I'll give him credit for good d all night, racking up a bunch of steals and deflections. Shumate brought the energy. His shooting wasn't very good but he had some winning plays which is why he was on the court in crunch time. Clearly, adding Shumate gives us the option to play small, but not tiny. Lots of bench play tonight, maybe more than I've ever seen on a TK team, and good contributions from all.

Yes, weird game. Rockets came out looking real good. Marshall responded. Went back and forth for a while. UT getting good looks and steals and Marshall dunking all over us (at least 7 including 4 or 5 alley oops). Rockets almost put them away from the 7 minute to 4 minute mark, but then got sluggish and sloppy. We actually had a chance to win at the buzzer on a fluke last second fast break but Littleson threw the ball away trying to rush a pass to Shumate who was open a step from the rim.

Can't say with Marshall, talented team that can shoot and put athletes on the floor, but wasn't very good on defense and didn't take advantage of our poor size on the boards. Could see them anywhere from first to middle of the pack in CUSA
