Thanks for sharing. When Kent is done playing I hope he wants to come around ODU and spread that good vibe. Perhaps coaching one day.

How many players from CUSA per team are considered on average? (Im assuming more than 2 so not trying to say we did good)
This class also had Miles Fox, Tim Ward, and Jeremy cox
Fox is not an NFL player but Cox and Ward might find their way to a practice squad. Cox was hurt by Melvin Gordon going to Denver. The recruiting classes were very bad at that time because there should have been at least some who did not redshirt from the year behind that to take the place of those 3. I would say that typically every CUSA team has at least 3 to 4 total drafted players or UDFA signings. We will have none this year.
I don't know if 3 or 4 is the answer but it sounds to be in the realm. Fox may not be an NFL player but he was a hell of a college player. And with the injury, any slight chance he had probably vanished.
Here is a rough total of last years Draft picks plus UDFAs. It is probably not a complete list. No team had zero like we will this year. Last year's average was 2.86 per team based on those lists I saw.
UAB 7, FAU 5, ODU 5, UNT 3, La Tech 3, Marshall 3, MTSU 2, WKU 2, Char 2, FIU 2, Rice 2, UTSA 2, So. Miss 1, UTEP 1
With only preliminary UDFA lists out there so far, here is the 2020 total of drafted and UDFAs for CUSA and in-state non P-5 teams. Shows how bad our senior personnel was last year and the recruiting that brought us here. No wonder we won 1 game.
FIU 5, FAU 4, LaTech 4, Charlotte 4, Marshall 3, So. Miss 3, UNT 2, UAB 2, MTSU 2, UTSA 2, Rice 1, ODU 0, UTEP 0, WKU 0.
Liberty 4, JMU 4, W&M 1, Norfolk State 1.

Glad to see O making it in the NFL. I just wish he would have been able to go to an NFL team that is run coherantly.

I happen to love the way the giants are building for the future right now. This years draft was killer and no dl being drafted means they trust the X man to step up.

Did anybody see the Heinicke interview with Ted? He said he was coining back in the fall to take classes and possibly coach at ODU

I wonder when he can start coaching but I think the NCAA has some rules for GA like you have to have a bachelors degree and a team can have up to 4 GA on staff. We currently have 3 GA on staff. I know he didn't get his degree before leaving for the NFL but we have room on the GA staff for him.

I was disappointed that Alexander didn't ask one question about his time with the Carolina Panthers. I'm rooting for TH, I'm not sure if he is ever going to make it back to the NFL.

RE: Monarchs Playing Pro Ball
Oh, great! Now I have Fulgham on the Packers, Ximines on the Giants and Lovato on the Eagles. All I need now is Garner going to the Steelers! It's enough to drive this Cowboys fan to the brink of whatever sanity I had left after Covid, social unrest, political mania, the Monarchs shuting down -- and now this. Thank God they still have the VA Tech game on the ODU Football web site! I will probably watch it about twenty times between now and basketball season.
Oh! In case you are wondering, Pascal on the Colts is just fine with me -- right up until the Cowboys and Colts meet in the Super Bowl -- and I'm not too worried about that.
Cheers, all!
