Yes, I thought Syracuse was going to tie it up on the last drive, but ...

Buffalo leading Kent State 63 to 34 with 7:44 left in the 4th qtr.

That is a mind-boggling day.

Finished with 409 yards and those 8 TDs.

UB had the ball at the Kent State 19-yard line with about 2:30 left but they took Patterson out and Kevin Marks ran for a TD.

Had they kept Patterson in and he got those 19 yards and a TD he would've broke the record for single rushing yards (427) by 1 yard and most TDs in a game.

I saw that he came up just short of the yards record. They shoulda let him get it.

What boggles me is that Kent State had more first downs and only about 80 fewer yards than Buffalo. So how do you lose by 30?

Yes. IMO there is no good reason why a coach missing the game because of the virus should be banned from communicating with coaches at the game. It punishes them for being sick.

Vandy hasn't scored, so the girl kicker hasn't had a chance to attempt an XP.

So Vandy let her kick off to start the second half. It was a pretty sad effort, a squib that was recovered by Mizzou at their own 35. Oh well, baby steps.

She's a big girl, btw, about 6'2".

It was really bad. Can't believe Vandy doesn't have anybody on the roster who can do better.

The board's resident Vanderbilt fan here.

Watched the game from quarter two to the end (painful) and was very proud of Sarah Fuller. On the kickoff, she punched the ball (Derek Mason said it was a designed play) what seemed about 25 yards. I give the young woman full credit. Nobody expected her to step in and kick a 60-yarder.

As to Vanderbilt being bad ... the team has been hammered by countless COVID-related opt-outs, missed games due to the virus and players who went ahead and quit to prepare to transfer. Few teams in the nation have been so harmed by personnel problems. Our best running back suffered a rib cage injury recently and took what seemingly was a cheap shot in the first period and was never the same today. And we have a freshman QB who is still learning to play SEC football.

None of this is to make any excuses. We're bad and Derek Mason basically said that today. But the young men are trying.

the kick was this close to being real dangerous for Missouri.

Let me guess, Ahlers is having one of those games.

Unreal start
10 plays 80 yds TD
3 plays 34 yds TD (SMU failed on 4th down)
8 plays 75 yds TD
3 plays 32 yds TD (SMU fumble)
7 plays 60 yds TD
4 plays 30 yds TD (36 yd punt return)
7 plays 47 yds FG end of half

2nd half SMU had one 3 and out and 2 interceptions, but scored every other time.
final 52-38.
