Monty and STF are buddies. Monty will have his job as long as STF is AD. Performance does not matter.

STF better update his Rolodex. He will be looking for a new men's and women's basketball coach in the spring. Then again, STF may have extended their contracts and we are waiting for the Northern Star to inform us.

The lead was 18 with 8 1/2 minutes to go.

Utterly ridiculous.

And to a bad rebuilding UIC.

Monty is bad at recruiting and coaching. Blind squirrel bumped into an acorn (German) a few years ago. Other than that....

Just give him more time! Remember that Rome wasn’t built in a day - or 8 years.
Monty could become our leader all time in wins if he hangs around long enough.

RE: First Mbb game
I'm quite disappointed in this outcome especially after seeing the halftime score.

Nevertheless, I'm not about to make some over-arching conclusions based off of one game, that none of us could watch of a team that has something like 7 newcomers on the roster.

It needs to be better. It sounds as if someone needs to step up as a leader down the stretch. Geno was that guy for the past 3 years so that muscle wasn't developed in the other guys. But we have some strong willed guys on this team (Hankerson, Cochran, Beane) and we don't know anything about the new guys.

So, again. I never expect a Montgomery coached team to give up 47 points in a half and I don't expect it going forward.

It was bad tonight. But, I'll reserve complete judgement for when the game actually start to matter which is in January.

I honestly don't care how many games they win in November and December, especially this year. Once the conference schedule starts up, I'm looking for this team to have come together better and have things figured out.
