We are already higher than any G5 Team has ever been. There is a real chance. Obviously have to have help, but them ranking us at 7 already shows me they are willing to put us in if things fall right. I felt like the wouldn’t put UCF in no matter what, which was unfortunate.
I think we have to credit what UCF accomplished for us getting more respect.
I agree and I’m happy for you, but Cincy needs to look more closely at who’s behind them instead of who’s ahead of them. The PAC-12 just started and USC and Oregon are both undefeated. It’s hard for me to imagine an undefeated PAC 12 champ not making it. Then you have an SEC champ, Big 10 champ, and ACC champs basically locks. You may also have Clemson beat ND and they both make it, same for Bama and Florida. Hope I’m wrong but I’ll believe it when I see it

Pac12 may not play enough games. Oregon hasn’t looked particularly good this far barely beating UCLA. It’s definitely something to watch, and I actually thought some of the teams behind us would be ahead of us.
Since we have 1 game against a Top 25 team it will help. Hopefully SMU can also creep back in.
Again, we have to help but it is a realistic possibility. It wouldn’t be an entirely big shock if it fell right.

It’s pretty clear the committee is putting an emphasis on amount of games played. I just don’t see the PAC-12 being a factor unless everyone else loses a lot

Agreed. I was expecting oregon at like 9/10 and SC right behind them. Very surprised they were as low as they were

RE: CFP Predictions for 2020
So, we won't be waiting too long I think for BYU to be making a phone call.
More importantly Cincy's position means we can sit pat as a conference. They are in position to push for a play off spot based on an FCS game, Army, and its AAC schedule.

Style points definitely matter. Outside of UCF, Cincinnati has been winning comfortably.

So does team strength, the AAC overall is looking good meaning UC is building style points on good teams.

Y’all will win by as many as you want to this week.
On the other hand, you will get dinged on strength of schedule.

Also everyone should be Auburn fans right now. They knock off Texas AnM and Alabama andCincy wins out they are probably in the play off.

Florida and Clemson both can stay ahead of Cinci...
Florida wins out...do you think they don't include 'Bama
Clemson wins out and Notre Dame has 1 loss...Do you think they are going to leave out Notre Dame...
Then you have Ohio State...The Big 10 seems to be frauds this year. But they are going to include them because they have Indiana and Northwestern ranked so high. Even if OSU loses one.
Who believes the Northwestern and Indiana have improved that much this year. I guess it doesn't cross their mind that entire conference may be down instead of these two teams making huge improvements.
Indiana beats barely beats 0-0 #9 PSU and gets elevated from NR to 17th...
Turns out PSU stinks...No correction for that rank jump.
Then they beat Rutgers and #23 Michigan and jump in the top 10...
Turns out Michigan stinks as well...So Penn State has gone from unranked to top 10 in 3 weeks as has beaten 0 ranked teams.

Iowa State has one win against a team w/ a winning record. Two losses, to teams in the CFP top 25. Ranked No. 13.
Louisiana beat Iowa State, has one loss, to an undefeated team in the top 20. Not ranked.
Again, it's nonsense.

If Auburn beats Texas AnM and Alabama:
The loser of the SEC game between Alabama and Florida will have two losses and be out.
If Clemson beats ND then ND is out, they will have beat a crippled Clemson at home in overtime, than lost to a fool strength or crippled Clemson at a neutral site.
To prove my point a two loss Georgia is behind Cincy and a one loss Miami is behind Cincy.
So in your scenario top ten would be:
1. Clemson (1 loss)
2. OSU/NW winner (0 loss)
3. Alabama/Florida winner (1 loss)
4. Cincy (0 loss)
5. ND (1 loss)
6. Miami (1 loss)
7.Florida/Alabama loser (2 loss)
8. OSU/NW loser (2 loss)
9. Georgia (2 loss)
10. Big XII champ (2 loss)

Of course it is, we need a every conference champion plus at large berth (12 or 16) to solve this.
But Cincinnati's spot says the AAC is on the right side of the nonsense which was the whole point of the p6

Strength of schedule is kind of funny. Texas A&M and Florida have 1 win each against teams with a winning record. Cincinnati currently has 4 wins against teams with a winning record with 2 more games to make it 6 potentially.

Miami has one loss, 42-17 AT Clemson. Rank three spots below Cincinnati. The earlier ND victory, at home in OT vs the back up QB will mean nothing. They will be out. Cincy will have added a win over Tulsa who is ranked as well. Maybe twice.

RE: CFP Predictions for 2020
With this ranking for Tulsa how many of the AAC teams have appeared in the CFP rankings?
Houston
UCF
Memphis
USF
Cincinnati
Tulsa
Navy
ECU
Have SMU or Temple been ranked? I know Tulane hasn't been yet.
