yup. only eight players suited up. i'm not sure any big guys are playing today. on the radio they said Binelli has a back issue. they didn't mention why the other guys are sitting.

Ty Groce is our biggest guy at 6'8". Gibson is our second tallest and is 6'6". if we lose by less than fifty it will be due to divine intervention.

but, i don't mean to be negative. i'm ecstatic that we're going to have a season in any form. and i'm excited to see how Lowder and Gibson look.

i've been ready to move on from Murphy for a few years now, but i dont' think i'll be able to get the same frustration going this year. it's going to be rough enough to play/coach during a pandemic. i just want to support these guys.

but who knows, i might find myself eating crow if we get blown out by CMU.

Am I crazy for thinking a lineup with Groce at the 5 could work for some spells in MAC play? I love the spacing on offense.

Not crazy at all. Don’t think we could survive with it all game all season, but it’s fun to watch with our improved guard play.

The people are so excited in Ypsilanti I cant even get an order in to tower in for carry out.

I'm not able to watch because of cable issues (thanks Xfinity), but this situation seems to be forcing EMU into playing a smaller lineup. I've been wanting this for years. Big guys are great if they can play but too often they are just taking up space without contributing anything.
