So we 'try to forget' a beat down at the Factory last night, but we may have to fear a beat down by Sparty.
MSU won't have Cassius Winston who will be playing with the Wizards next month.

Ohio U last season was picked dead last 12th, and one year later 2nd? There new coach must be doing something right! We're picked 7th, so not a lot of pressure, or expectations! We've a lot of players back! 7 seniors or close to that! Can we win the MAC? I guarantee the defense will be really good! It's all about the other end......

No love for the MAC West.
The MAC West is the "old boys coaching network" with the exception of Bates at WMU who was a "fire sale" bargain when they fired Hawkins. No Oats, Huger or for that matter Groce who did not make it in Illinois but was a previous MAC success. Not hard to figure that one out.

Last year's non conference was a pleasant surprise only to play poorly in conference. Losing Toure is huge but at least most of the guys,have played together. Hoping guys like, Lowder Gibson and McBride give us more scoring options. It would be great if we made free throws. Like football I don't know what to expect.

I like the 'good ole days' where we play the first NCAA D-I game of the season in the morning on the first day of the season and with the guaranteed "W" became a very early favorite for a NCAA tourney bid*

Sucks no fans for this one. Probably one of the few that the rules really mattered, as EMU has been practicing safe social distancing at the Convo for years.
We’re 21.5 point dogs, the biggest underdogs on the slate in the MAC today. I’m seeing the O/U is 135.5, so the EMU optimist in me is going to hammer the under and take the points.
Let’s hope everyone passes their covid tests this morning and we’re watching BTN at 6 tonight!

Stephens has been filling in for Izzo as HC because of covid. I've considered him to be a candidate for the EMU job someday. Would not be surprised if he is next in line at MSU when Izzo retires.

Lowder will have the greenest of lights. If Murphy doesn’t rage bench him, he will put up some numbers. Hopefully he can facilitate for the others, but I think it will be his show.

BobW may have somewhat convoluted loyalties, but 21 points is a 'drop in the bucket' (sorry for the bad metaphor) for Sparty.
We never player Sparty well. Period.
We may need a ton of threes to stay reasonably close.
