Yawn.
You mean CUSA!
It’s a pillow fight for dead last between CUSA and the MAC. The SBC is firmly in the drivers seat and it’s not even close. This trend is about 3-4 years strong too.

And you ducked Dogswin's point...
Please read Post #12. I do not feel Tech is “ducking” Louisiana.
Furthermore, there is a gap of like 40 years within those 8 games...and we lost on the goal line cause of some BS in game 6 of 8. It’s nobody’s fault but our own but Louisiana started taking football seriously roughly 15 years ago. We had a TON of catchup to do with the likes of Tech. Again, all the blame goes to the leadership at Louisiana during that span.

You’re going to have to ask Tech that question. I have firsthand information that our AD reaches out to Tech annually about football and never gets a yes. I assure you it has nothing to do with the ACT scandal from ‘12-‘14. I think Tech honestly feels we are beneath them and that they have nothing to gain and everything to lose by playing us on the regular...it’s a shame because it’s such a natural rivalry.
We're booked up for the next several years.

Can't play everyone. We're always being told that we're supposed to be playing ULM every year, too. At some point we've got to work in those FCS home games and some money games.
We play ULL sometimes. When it works out (with either ULX in my opinion) it's fine to work them in the rotation. Some of our OOC one-for-ones over the last 20 years would have been better with a UL-twin, some I wouldn't have traded (and of course, some were ULL).
I certainly wouldn't tie us up with a permanent game with either school (much less both). And it doesn't bother me in the least when we don't play. Even in years where ULX would be easily preferable (like UMass or UNLV) I'm willing to give the benefit of the doubt that the scheduling just didn't work out. Not the end of the world.

What Louisiana football team is ranked in the AP and Coaches Poll Top 25 at this moment?

Yeah. ULX. I feel the same about playing ULL or ULM. One is closer, the other usually has the better team. If the scheduling works out, it's clearly better to play either UL-Wherever team than someone like UNLV or UMass or Bowling Green. I wouldn't want a permanent series with either school, but I'd be fine if we played them more often that we do (on the other hand, in a given year, I don't really care if we don't play them). Y'all are interchangeable to me in which school I'd want to play. I know the difference. And I know other Tech fans have strong opinions that differ from mine (strong preference for ULM, strong preference for ULL, strong preference to play neither, strong preference to play both, etc).
But it's a wash to me.

Nah this was on us having COVID cases in the program, we had to postpone last week too. With both teams making up conference games in December, there's no room on the schedule unfortunately.

Why doesn't Marshall play West Virginia every year? I think THAT would be an even better rivalry.
I'm guessing WVA would have a problem with that?
Some of you people have a BIG misconception about how long ULL has actually had a "good" football team. Below is ULL's record covering the 5-year period of seasons from 2014 to 2018:
2014 - 9-4 (LA Tech beat ULL 48-20)
2015 - 4-8 (LA Tech beat ULL 43-14)
2016 - 6-7
2017 - 5-7
2018 - 7-6
TOTAL = 31-32
Meh. That's an okay record, but nothing special. Meanwhile, LA Tech was 42-25 and won 5 straight bowl games over the same 5-yr period. As you may know, both schools had a good year in 2019, with ULL wining 11 games and LA Tech winning 10.

Said another way, of all of the years possible for Tech to play ULL (a whopping 87 games in 110 years) we've played them 79% of the time. Just how many games should Tech have played ULL in this timeframe to satisfy the question "Why doesn’t Louisiana and Louisiana Tech play more?"?
For a state with a ENTIRE population of 4.7M people there are FIVE FBS football programs (LSU, LA Tech, Tulane, UL-Laf, ULM) plus many more FCS football programs- waaaaay toooooo many! Forgive Tech for wanting to play someone from another state once in a while.

WVU is a P5 and so they can at least play the elitist card. That is not a good comparison. Tech just acts like elitist, yet they aren’t ranked and play in an inferior conference. Whatever...Louisiana and their fans want to play.
Your analysis even further proves what I’ve been saying for a long time now. Louisiana started taking football seriously about 15 years ago. We are really just getting started but that is nobody’s fault but our own.

Good question. Louisiana has home/home’s schedule with Tulane and seem to play them every three years or so.

Good question. The first LA Tech vs Tulane game was played in 1904. The two have played just 9 times over their 116 years series and 7 of those games were played before World War II began. Tech would have to play Tulane 78 consecutive years and ULL not at all to catch up to the Tech-ULL series total!

That’s wild! That too makes no sense! The G5’s in this small state of ours, ULM needs to be FCS, need to play each other more often.

If you are going to say it, defend it. Please give examples of how LA Tech acts elitist. We hear that all the time from jealous Sunbelters. But, the truth is, LA Tech has NEVER lost a football game to a Sunbelt school. They may piss you off, but it's not acting elitist. It's simply the truth. Maybe you have something else in mind?
