I mean, not even Ricardo Patton earned a “Path of Destruction” Thread in his all too long tenure.

Probably because there are no words in the English language to describe what Patton did.

Alright ... Ricardo Patton really destroyed the hell out of our program
But hey, we got Xavier Silas for a hott minute. Tim Toler and Nate Rucker were interesting too.

Rod looking solid on sideline tonight for Temple. Don't know why I had to say that. Lets hope the Hammock journey turns out with much success!

Thankfully the answer was yes and Novak was able to create the building blocks for the future

RE: Hammock Path of Destruction.
I've moved from being cautiously optimistic on Hammock to somewhat skeptical. The complete lack of fundamental execution is most worrisome - it doesn't seem like we're capable of doing anything well (save for some occasional bright spots on defense), even for a team of freshmen.
As an NIU alum who seemed genuinely excited to be coaching at his alma mater, I'm still pulling for him to be successful. Improvement needs to be seen quickly, though.

RE: Hammock Path of Destruction.
I'd have to think that a lack of practices before the season would affect a very young team like NIU more than other MAC teams with more experience, so that is part of the issue. Still hoping they see serious improvement mostly on the O-line and D-line as least.

Does he get those pullovers custom made? He had the same one at NIU. Almost no one wears them.
Also, they showed him at the beginning with mask on, then he pulls it down to start yelling. Kinda looked funny, very Caryesque.
Of note, the Temple QB tried to throw a bubble screen and there were 3 Temple guys in same area. There was a CFU guy sandwiched between 2 of them and he somehow got the INT. It was incredible. One of the strangest INT you will ever see.
I said previously, I would not be shocked to see him back at NIU should his and Hammock's current (and for Hammock prior) season continue on their current paths for a couple more seasons.

RE: Hammock Path of Destruction.
This disaster is equally on both Carey and Hammock. They probably would have been better last year with Carey, but the clock was running out.
It's a weird year anyways. They're ungodly young. We'll see what happens next year.

Zero chance of that. More people hate Rod than like him.
Rod thinks he’s great though. And that’s all that matters.

RE: Hammock Path of Destruction.
The young team got me thinking: do we all agree that most 5th/6th year seniors are gone next year? Even with another year I would think most of those guys are gone.
Guys like Kramer might be back, he’s a true senior and he will get a 5th year if he wants it. Why not use that to go towards a masters if he can. I don’t know that many are going to be asked back outside of that.
Maybe some 5th year guys could use the extra season to finish off their masters degree guys like Ritchie pop in my head as of now...I am sure there are others I am not thinking of.

Richie and Pugh are really the only two i can see being back. Maybe Crawford?

7 years in college is a long time for Pugh. But if he wants to I don’t think I would say no.
Maybe the Olinemen - or at least Patton...unless lippe is ready to go at center.

Yeah, I will give Hammock until the middle of next season to clean things up. This has been a difficult year and season for everyone and Hammock is very high risk for COVID19 so that is just another added challenge for him every time he wants to get more hands on with the team.
