Simple play. Diving interception before going out of bounds. Foot drug the ground and then his shin as he was going down and then the knee hits right on the boundary line.
My question is why did he only need the one foot in bounds for an interception when if this had been a receiver he would need two feet in bounds to be a catch. I'm wondering why the defender only needed one foot in bounds.

If I read this right, it’s either both feet in bounds or any part of the body other than the hands. They ruled his knee was down inside the line (questionable). I hope this clears this matter up.

I took it as either ‘two feet’ OR any other part of the body (except hands). I’m guessing the knee qualifies as any other part of the body.

I'd don't follow the nfl anymore so I don't know their rules. However, I think they make it up as they go depending on the team. Which is part of the reason I don't much of any pro sport except golf. College is starting to get that way too which saddens me.
I haven't seen the play and the NFL has already taken the video above down.
But I'm guessing it was a matter of him being called "down" before he went out of bounds. That's what would happen if anything other than his hand or foot hit the playing field. Going out of bounds is really irrelevant. He would be down in the field of play.
But I do agree that they seem to legislate from the field - that is, make it up on the fly.
