Pretty much every time I have ever voted in both Ohio and Michigan I've seen one of the local candidates the allowed distance from the polling location urging me to vote for them. It's allowed and fully in compliance with the law as long as they meet the distance requirement.

Dude, I quoted the Ohio law in this very post. The 100 feet is from the entrance to the polling location. There is clearly a line of voters on the street here that is likely quite a distance from the entrance...but the law does account for this by noting that in this case, the distance from the people voting must be 10 feet. She's clearly more than 10 feet from them.
