MLB made billions off the backs of players during the steroid era. That spike in interest gave the sport another 20 years of relevancy. Bonds and McGwire are HOF players.

Bonds and Clemens should be in the Hall because they had Hall-worthy careers even before they used PEDs.

McGwire is a much tougher call -- and I'm an A's fan -- because there is a pretty good argument that without the 'roids, he's just Dave Kingman. The counterargument in Mac's favor is that there are uncaught dopers already in the Hall who may not have had Hall-worthy careers without PEDs.

Wainwright back to STL 1 year 8 million. A little bit more than MLBTR expected but not a bad deal for STL.

Now the question is Molina.

I think the thing that would break things would be if someone that is already in the HOF admitted that they took PED's.

he was a good get for us for 2 years from the O's, got that submarine delivery, but at 38, he's due to decline...better a year too early. besides, we gots plenty of younger guys to rotate through our bullpen. need a replacement for Ozuna. I'm looking forward to seeing our rotation this year, barring injuries again. And when Soroka returns later, to see how quickly he comes back to form.

Schilling is a 100% HOFer. Writers are 100% pansy-mary whiners.

The Ozuna is a big one. Also really Duvall. You guys have lost right now 34/103 HR from 2020. That would be a pretty big drop.

Not that many guys left now either.

There's no good reason for any of them to admit it, and good reason for them to *not* admit it, unless someone finds undeniable evidence and makes it public.

Any HOF player who admits he used PEDs while playing in MLB risks a campaign to have him removed from the Hall. Can't happen? Maybe not, but as an analogy, consider that there are undoubtedly many Heisman Trophy winners who accepted money and gifts while playing college football, but only the one who was publicly exposed and admitted it was forced to give back his Heisman.

I think it's a safe bet there are several PED users in the HOF and some of them still make a living on baseball in some form or another. ARod notwithstanding, admitting use would risk having that revenue stream cut off.
