Congrats on squeaking out that 1 point win over Southern Trainwreck.

We didnt even have a starter chosen at QB when that game started.

That's an understatement. Marshall has 6 games left on our schedule. 5 of those teams are currently winless.

Damn too bad Marshall couldn't have held on for a couple weeks...

would have loved to see Western get their 2nd win over a ranked team. Both being Marshall. And what could be Western's first win of the season.

I think we all know that any other year but this one, Marshall, UAB and ULL would not be sniffing the top 25, this early in the season. Just not going to happen unless you play and beat 2 P5 schools and one of those being highly ranked.

For a CUSA and SBC team to get ranked its usually in week 8 or 9 at the earliest. There's not any question about it that schools like Penn St and Ohio St and yes even LSU and the fact they loss at home doesnt change...

they should be ranked, without ever playing a down of football.

Doubtful. If Marshall continues to play angry and focused, we should run through this league.

I like this, it should give us a chip on our shoulder.

LA Tech is going to have something to say about that. 05-mafia

Rivalry game, played with a ton of freshmen (19, to be exact).

One of these years Marshall fans have to be correct...

It seems every year, week one through three, they are on top of the world. By week 4, 5, 6 or 7 they start calling for Doc's job. But this might be their year because while I'm not sold on their offense(yet). The Marshall defense is looking tough and offensively, most CUSA teams are suspect.

Its that Marshall O-Line. Best I've seen since the 2014 squad.

I don't know, there's a completely different positive vibe with this Marshall team.

Yes, we can be beaten, our Freshman QB looked like a Freshman QB should, not the otherworldly beast he was against EKU. However, that o-line, running game and D should keep us in a lot of games.

Also, Western did this to us last year as well. Started off REAL slow, and picked it up as the year went on. Maybe that's just the DNA of a Tyson Helton led squad.
