some good news
Celebs and corporations to boycott Facebook for one whole day to protest 'hate speech'
Quote:To signal how much they abhor hate speech, some celebs and big corporations are going to quit both Facebook and Instagram for the entire day tomorrow. For one, single, solitary, 24-hour period, Kim Kardashian West, Katy Perry, Demo Lovato, and Jennifer Lawrence, among others, will not post on these social media platforms.
The reason for the boycott is clear—these celebs truly hate hate speech, which is why, according to Lawrence, who first publicized the day-long boycott, they will be telling Facebook to "stop hate for profit."
Lawrence posted that "Facebook ignores hate & disinformation on their site. This is not an 'operational mistake.' It is a deliberate decision to put profits over people and democracy."
Lawrence posted that on Twitter, which is does not appear will be subjected to the celebs hate speech hate.
Celebs were joined by the NAACP, Unilever, Honda, Verizon, and Hershey. Leonardo di Caprio jumped on board as well.
[quote]Kim Kardashian said in a vaguepost that "I love that I can connect directly with you through Instagram and Facebook, but I can't sit by and stay silent while these platforms continue to allow the spreading of hate, propaganda and misinformation - created by groups to sow division and split America apart only to take steps after people are killed.
"Misinformation shared on social media has a serious impact on our elections and undermines our democracy. Please join me tomorrow when I will be “freezing” my Instagram and FB account to tell Facebook to #StopHateForProfit"
Quote:The group asks that Facebook enact the changes they demand "in time for the U.S. presidential election."
These changes include: "Take down groups focused on white supremacy, militia, antisemitism, Islamophobia, and violent conspiracies. Increase resources focused on monitoring groups for hate speech and violence. Change platform policy to forbid any event page with a call to arms, as highlighted by the Change the Terms coalition. Commit 5% of their annual revenue to an independently administered fund to support initiatives, academics and organizations doing the work to fight against racism, hate and division caused by Facebook's inaction."
StopHateForProfit also demands that these platforms "Ensure accuracy in political and voting matters by eliminating the politician exemption. Remove misinformation related to voting that has been debunked by credible fact checkers. Prohibit calls to violence by politicians in any format."
The celebs and corporations have not said that they will leave the platform permanently unless these demands on content and outlays of funds are met. Instead, they feel that they will be so missed over the one day, that the platform will cave to their calls for change.

RE: some good news
End hate speech (as defined by us in our hive world) and suppress as lies any political ad we believe is wrong as supported by liberal fact checkers.
Seems fair.

when your 21.2 yr. old daughter states, "DAD!, my gfs are stupid!" ..... she then receives a golf clap with, "yeah, your mum and I did pretty good, Ja!?"

I think they should boycott until hate speech has been eradicated.
