After the election, Obama, Biden, Brennan, Comey, Rice, Yates etc, are having a meeting at the WH discussing the illegal spying on Flynn, but there is no deep state.

I've always felt deep state is the wrong terminology for what in reality was something detailed in The Managerial Revolution. In actuality we are talking about bureaucratic entrenchment that transcends many appointed leaders ability to change.

This is exactly what the reference is to. I’ve heard it first hand many, many times, primarily from friends of my folks. My Dads colleagues or Mothers choir mates, all in D.C.

It’s always some variation of “Ah, Presidents come and go, we’ll be here forever”. Then hearty laughter and another swig of the Old Fashioned.
