Major legal questions on whether such a waiver would be legally effective anyway.

1) You basically cannot legally waive claims for negligence

2) There are severe limitiations on ability to blanket waive general damages where one party (the NCAA) can be seen as in a position of power over another (players).

The NCAA is basically a labor law firm (a mediocre one).. they know this

Amusement parks have waivers, some events have implied waivers, states have Workman Compensation Insurance.

All legal... depends on who is writing the laws and the quality of defense attorneys.

I got hurt on the job in NY and basically my compensation was the payments of my medical bills for 4 months of hospitalization and 8 months of rehab .

I predict that once the elections are over so will all the concerns regrading COVID-19 and all of these political agenda issues.

Where is the accountability by the athletes for signing a waiver. And, by the way, the NCAA sucks.

Are you definitively required to prove WHERE you contacted the disease or only that one or more persons in the group had the disease where the school REQUIRED you to be present and that the disease is spread by relatively close contact? I believe this is oft the basis for such lawsuits.

This statement is absurd. There are a great many nations in the world which are not having elections this year but are experiencing significant concern for the spread of Covid 19 and the deaths caused by this virus. I am a Republican but do not see how you or anyone can ignore the threat to our nation by this disease.

I love Horseshoe Bay/Marble Falls too, but the virus has hit here too, and my wife and I are in the high risk group and she has underlying conditions as well.
