Well since the players have to play for the schools to have money to pay their scholarships... should we start paying players now? I will hang up and listen. Also agree with the guy about the empty stadiums.. MAC has been doing that for mid-week freezing november maction for years.

Cost of attendance for 4 yr runs about $88,000 to
about $290,000 for FBS schools. Again sports participation is optional.

That's true.

I guess the cost of the event is much lower when there are no costs for concessions, parking, ticket-takers, security, etc... And they can still sell naming rights for the TV broadcast.

And the conferences backstop the bowls by guaranteeing tickets.

The minor bowls get most money from sponsors, TV, etc.

How many tics are sold for the Bahamas Bowl??

I guess I don't understand why they wouldn't have bowl games. I could see them cutting out all the events in the week leading up to the game and just treating them like a normal away game. Just come in the night before and have the game the next day.
