Sorry but I just can’t resist re-posting this:

1. A Democrat-appointed federal District judge takes actions adverse to a GOP-led DOJ and also to a Defendant who is a prominent political supporter of the incumbent GOP-President.
2. Two GOP-appointed Appellate judges overrule the Democrat-appointed District judge, with one Democrat-appointed Appellate judge dissenting.
3. Seven Democrat-appointed Appellate judges overrule the two GOP-appointed Appellate judges, with four GOP-appointed Appellate judges dissenting.
4. Five GOP-appointed Supreme Court justices overrule the seven Democrat-appointed Appellate judges, with four Democrat-appointed Supreme Court justices dissenting.
If all that were to happen (#1 and #2 have already happened, of course), Flynn’s case would have been examined by 12 Democrat-appointed members of the federal bench, all of whom voted against him, and also by 9 GOP-appointed members of the federal bench, all of whom voted in his favor.
I honestly hope it doesn’t come to that, for several reasons:
1. Mike Flynn doesn’t deserve to be put through all that;
2. It would substantially increase the public cynicism towards the federal judiciary, which is already deeply cyncical, as it is.
But it would be a vivid, real-life counterpoint to Chief Justice Roberts’ pious blather about how we don’t have Democrat judges and GOP judges.

Maybe, maybe not. Who know which way Roberts goes?
And here's the point that I keep making. Whether democrat or republican, all 9 went to one of two north-eastern establishment law schools, and 8 of the 9 came to the court from north-eastern circuits (1st, 2nd, 3rd, DC, or solicitor-general for Kagan). So whether they are republican or democrat, they are pretty much out of touch with 75% of the country.

CJ ROberts; when you said there wasnt a such thing as a "conservative" judge or a "liberal" judge, did you realize how much of an out of touch dick you were?

Amy Berman Jackson at least shut down the sh*tshow that was continuing in the Roger Stone case. They were trying to go the amicus route there after his sentenced was commuted.
