"One day we'll just wake up, and It'll be gone overnight" just like Trump said.
I've asked this question to every chicken pshit that says you have to wear a mask to bed. "Who are you waiting to tell you it's OK to go back into the water again?" I usually get no response, but the one reply I get the most is "When it is gone". I tell them have a good life by yourself.

It will probably be like Flu Shot every year. They will try and get you to do this every year. I've never had a Flu Shot and I'm not going to start taking one for the Common Cold either.
RE: CNN Panel Marvels At “Historic” Speed Of COVID-19 Vaccine Development
Thanks for reminding me I need my booster of Pneumonia shot in September. Flu shots don't work but pneumonia shots let my doctor pay for her payment on her boat. Gotta keep the economy going, right.
RE: CNN Panel Marvels At “Historic” Speed Of COVID-19 Vaccine Development
The Trump haters at CNN are hoping the vaccines are huge failures as long as Trump is President. The higher the body count while Trump is in office, the happier they are.
RE: CNN Panel Marvels At “Historic” Speed Of COVID-19 Vaccine Development
Im not sure Id participate in this trial..but..Im glad there are people willing to do this. Let's all hope this is successful. We NEED this to work badly. Getting it sooner could save us from a potential economic collapse. Even if it we are talking about a yearly booster or something similar to the Flu Vaccine...Ill take it. Im sick of this schit!! We all need our live back to normal ASAP.
RE: CNN Panel Marvels At “Historic” Speed Of COVID-19 Vaccine Development
It is an RNA based vaccine. RNA vaccines have never been used before. No animal trials are being done. No understanding of long term effects. No bueno. No thanks. Gates wants legal immunity from any side effects / wrongful deaths. That should tell you everything you need to know.
RE: CNN Panel Marvels At “Historic” Speed Of COVID-19 Vaccine Development
I would suspect that it is an mRNA vaccine. I would have reservations taking it as well. Since I already take 9 different prescriptions for autoimmune disease, what’s one shot.

RE: CNN Panel Marvels At “Historic” Speed Of COVID-19 Vaccine Development
Given that CV-19 is starting not to look like the automatic death sentence that all the fear mongers sold us up front, I doubt I'd rush to get this. I don't take the flu vaccine. The only 5 sick days I've missed from work in the last 30 years are 3 times I tried it, and I was out 2 days twice and only 1 day the other. So I'd probably pass.
That being said, one thing that we may find out is just how many of the FDA's hoops are really necessary, and how many of them serve the primary purpose of providing work for more bureaucrats to review and process them. I think the FDA is probably scared spitless that we will find out just how excessive their normal review process is. They have made a living off Thalidomide for 50 years, and plan to keep doing so as long as possible.
Back in the early 1980s, I was on assignment in Boston one year at Christmastime, and flew home to Houston on Christmas Eve. The flight was a DC-8 that came from Montreal. Across the aisle from me was a Canadian family flying through. Their son looked to be in his early 20s and his hands resembled a raptor's talons, with three opposed fingers on either side and no real thumb. Airlines still fed on flights in those days, and watching how he held his utensils to eat was quite interesting. I made a point not to stare, as I'm sure he gets too much of that, but sitting 2 feet away it was hard not to notice. All I could think of was "Thalidomide baby."

You take the vaccine first. As for me, I'm going to let all the hospital/first responders/high risk, essential personnel take it first and then sit back and observe.

I heard an interview with a doctor yesterday where he discuss many of the things they got wrong, such as being too aggressive with ventilator treatment.
He said they've found great success with medicines that have been around for a while.
He also said that people don't seem to be as in-tuned over flu deaths so they may need to start reporting those, too. Not sure why, unless it means we need to instill fear.

We found one population that seemed to have severe consequences from it--old people in poor health to begin with. It put the fear of God in me a bit--I've lost 25 pounds and still going. If we had isolated those people from the start and worn masks, we'd probably have had far fewer consequences.
But none of the "experts" were recommending that. They were all on the side of shutting everything down. And Trump unfortunately listened to the experts.
I've said it before, but geopolitical analyst George Friedman (former founder of STRATFOR) says that we are in a battle between expertise and common sense. Expertise says build a bunch of models and adopt a theoretical solution. The important thing is doing a bunch of testing so they have a bunch of data for their models. Common sense says look at what works elsewhere and do it. The important thing is saving lives.
As was once explained to me, an expert knows that a tomato is a fruit, common sense says you don't put a tomato in a fruit salad. Or in the words of eminent philosopher Lawrence Peter Berra, in theory, theory works in practice; in practice, it doesn't.

I’ve lost one friend to Covid. It was heartbreaking listening to her family talk about telling her goodbye over the computer since they couldn’t be in the room with her. Like me, Sharon had underlying health issues that made her susceptible to Covid.
With that being said I refuse to live in fear. I wear my mask, if I go out to the grocery or department store. I don’t wear it while I’m out by my pool or driving by myself.
I refuse to let this virus take away what little life I have left. I refuse to let my idiot Democrat Governor use fear to control me.
