I remember my Daughter having a similar amount of angst over her first check. I of course laughed.

That was me as a 16 year old working a summer job in a scrap metal yard. Hot, dirty and hard as hell and I kept thinking yeah it'll be worth it when I get that check! I was young and dumb as hell. My dad laughed and laughed and laughed.
