No ego hurt here, Sally. Average football fans may not give a crap but folks in Louisiana, Texas and Mississippi do. I don't think many fans in Louisiana know the difference between Marshall and West Liberty University but that doesn't change the fact that you wouldn't be in the same conference with them.

I actually would love to share a conference with West Liberty in basketball (if they decide to move up.) They have an excellent basketball program and better support than a lot of the teams in CUSA.

As for the overall comparison, apples to oranges considering West Liberty is D2.

ULM and La Tech are both FBS.

No conference titles in the 7 years in the league is a true statement. We have been to what two Division title games in that period? We own the longest current bowl win streak in the country and have been the most consistent program in the Western Division. With the exception of that Zero next to CUSA Conference Titles, I can't complain about the football we have been playing in Ruston.

I didn't know you all now have the longest bowl winning streak since we lost this year. That's great that the streak stays in CUSA

I wouldn't assume anything. It just depends on what happens. The SBC fan bases as a whole don't want anything to do with the Florida schools. We will do it if we have to but if it were up to us, I think we would all ditch both Florida schools. With that said, fans don't make the decisions. The thing is though, if we are talking realignment to save money on travel, keeping the Florida schools honestly will not lower the travel costs much for SBC schools when you compare to our current setup. It would be much more beneficial if we dropped the Florida schools.

I grouped the three Alabama schools together, since I don't think splitting them up will work in any of these scenarios. I also put them in the East since I think that is what they would prefer. West gets the bb-only schools since that's what makes sense geographically.

I'm not saying this is the best 2 conferences that could be made with these pieces, but I think that what's above is the most likely outcome.

14 is to many, its the 2nd biggest mistake the conference made. I would much rather see a 9 10 school conference but the max should be capped at 12.

Sorry didn’t know a moderator deleted the racist post. I figured dawg guy had. Not sure why a moderator would delete a post unless it was very offensive though so I guess that tells the whole story of how awful the post was.
