Highlights of wins over P5
Can some you post any highlights you have of your wins in football or basketball over P5 schools? Would be neat to see.

Is there any of Louisiana's win over Texas A&M? Or Ark State's win over Texas A&M? Maybe UTA's basketball wins over Ohio State, Texas, or St. Mary's? (I know St. Mary's isn't P5, but they're considered a national powerhouse in basketball)

I remember that game well. I took a bigger interest in Georgia Southern and App State when they announced they were moving to the Sun Belt.

You guys beating Florida made me proud you were joining the SBC.

RE: Highlights of wins over P5
Here's highlights of our absolute demolition of Oklahoma State in 2007. Dez Bryant got absolutely punished this game. This loss is what ultimately resulted in Mike Gundy going on his "I'm a man, I'm 40" rant, because of a news story written about OSU QB Bobby Reid that was benched for the game in favor of Zac Robinson.

Not many of the better P5 teams get pummeled like this from a G5 school.

RE: Highlights of wins over P5
The win over OK St (in 2007) was pure domination, we could have hung 50+ on them with no trouble but Blakeney called off the dogs after Q3, (when we played at OK State in 2008 they destroyed us, they truly hated us and really wanted to totally destroy us)... Troy/ OK St played again in 2010 which was a great game and we lost 38-41 late in Q4. I don’t think OK State will schedule us ever again.

The LSU and Nebraska scalps are probably more famous but we had to really fight to get these wins, while the OK State scalp was ours after H1...beating P5 teams is always fun but I really want to play and beat a P5 team in a bowl game...

I remember some beat writer complaining she didn't think Oklahoma State guys were't taking things seriously because they were smiling on the sidelines and some player was eating chicken his mom cooked (or something) and that lead to Mike Gundy's "I'm a man" tirade.

Also, We were a one rebound away from beating Auburn this year. 10,000 at the Mitchell Center, showing what our home court advantage can do.

Maybe, this OK St team already had some issues before the game and Gundy was upset that this beat writer attacked his players.
However, this 2007 Troy team was also very special (Future (2) NFL CBs, several 1st and 2nd NFL round draft picks, experienced QB/RB/WRs, a young&explosive Jernigan, tons of talent, 4 star JUCOs, etc. Probably the best FBS Troy FB team in history, they also competed against Arkansas (McFadden&Jones), Florida (Tebow), UGA (K.Moreno) in this year and scored a combined 100pts against these tough SEC teams.

This was a crazy year, Troy finished 8-4 (6-1) and still couldn’t go to a bowl game because only one SBC team could go bowling and we lost our final game to FAU (8-4, 6-1) that year. We were awarded co-champions but no bowl game. It still bothers me to this date.
