soccer to return in Germany
https://www.afp.com/en/news/3954/germany...oc-1r04yb5

"Germany is planning an almost complete return to normality in May, with schools and shops reopening and the return of top-flight Bundesliga football matches, Chancellor Angela Merkel said Wednesday.

All schools and shops will now be able to open as long as they observe hygiene and social distancing rules, with the Bundesliga resuming behind closed doors, Merkel said after a meeting with the leaders of Germany's 16 states...."

Will be interesting to see how it goes. I don't think Germany was hit as hard as other European countries so it has that going for it and may make it a little easier to return to some sort of normalcy. Will be weird watching matches with no fans though.

Well, with the way soccer is played there really is no need for fans. Those fans love to cheer "almost scores" as opposed to real scores. Not many people can watch 90 minutes of almost scores without falling asleep. I admit I only watch soccer during the international games because of fact that the US is playing. They should change the rules where at least games don't end at 1 to 0, wow, what excitement.

Not going to get in a soccer hate debate; however, whatever can happen to help get the world back to "normal" is OK in my book. For Germany, soccer coming back is a HUGE part of that nation getting back to "normal".

yep. I'd imagine there will be a lot of people in charge of sports in the USA and around the world paying keen attention to this.

I’m ready for this. Dortmund is only gonna have 2 of its starts until the next transfer window. I’d like to see them challenge for the title.

I can't wait, plus Bundesliga game don't usually only have 1 goal.

Is Germany the only place it will return?

I guess it doesn't matter as long as it doesn't make it's way back across the Pond.

Sancho is great, but his attitude is wishy washy and I think he’s definitely due for an $80mm+ offer from a Man City or Barca-like team. I want them to be able to keep Haaland, but there’s a $100mm offer out there for him somewhere. It seems s though Germany isn’t going to be where stars want to play their peak careers anymore.

2nd most enjoyable league in the world IMO. EPL’s still tops though.

Heck, Dortmund is good at finding kids and selling them for megabucks. I have a feeling if both Sancho and Haaland leave Dortmund will just find two more wonderkids. One silver lining coming out of this COVID mess is lots of teams may not be albe to spend the megabucks on transfers this window. That in of itself may by those two more time with Dortmund.

Yeah. It keeps them from winning the Bundesliga though. Bayern can keep everyone. Dortmund will get Aubamayang, Mhki, Hummels, Sokratis, etc and right when they can make that real challenge they’re gone.
