Hundreds of protesters swarmed the state capital building in Lansing, Michigan, last week to voice their displeasure with the state’s lockdown measures that have left almost 1 million Michiganders without work.

Trump referred to the protesters as “very good people” and urged Democratic Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer “to make a deal” with them.

Whitmer later spoke with CNN’s Jake Tapper about the unsubstantiated claim, echoed by Pelosi, that the anti-lockdown protesters in Michigan are made up of neo-Nazis.

I'm going to make a prediction right here. This will backfire big. Sure, there are some democrats who want to do the usual TDS thing and just constantly go after Trump, but there is a reality here concerning China's role. Even Bill Maher understands that China needs to be investigated. How many other liberals will realize that this woman cannot do anything unpolitical and focus on a real issue? This is not a phony impeachment that costs almost nothing in political capital to attempt. This is not zero sum for democrats, and it's a mistake. She's done as speaker after this, and who knows what else it will cost.

Keep up w/ her government overreach, and she'll be amazed when Michigan protests look like a church picnic. She may just lock her dusty ol tnuc up and hide w/ her ice cream.
