RE: Pac 12 and Apple TV
Speaking of streaming services, seems like there's a new one every day.

Peacock just launched recently and it's apparently available to Comcast customers, but I haven't tried it yet.

Later this month, HBO Max will be launching. This appears to be the front line product of Warner Media(the combo of Warner Bros and Turner). Seems like they have some decent content lined up so I may end up getting that one. I ended up following this development a little more closely because I'm a nerd and I'm looking forward to the director's cut of Justice League(Snyder Cut for anyone familiar with it).

Anyway, the streaming services that have an advantage are the ones tied to studios. They have expertise in creating content and libraries. They have the infrastructure in place to make the productions.

I think one of the reasons I'm a little dubious of Apple TV is because they really are a raw product here despite the overall wealth of the company.

There is no foundation to Apple TV plus other then their own limited original programming.

Hulu/Disney has their library
HBOMax has Turner and Warner Library
CBS All Access has Paramount library
Peacock has Universal Library
Amazon Prime Video has Amazon Prime free shipping
Netflix is very dependent on their original programming now, which is massive, but they were built on the libraries of content producers

You cannot expect a mass subscription base on a handful of original shows. They need a base library at minimum

RE: Pac 12 and Apple TV
I recently got an IPhone 11 and signed up for the free year of Apple TV+. I browsed the titles and almost all of them are a hour long and the options were limited. I was looking for a 30-40 minute show I could just test drive and not have to devote 60 minutes to something a hour long.
