He should just admit he was throwing "out of the box" ideas against the wall and leave it at that. This is a reason why sometimes less is more for these daily press conferences. Come in, make your prepared presentation---answer a few questions and leave the rest of the conference for the Covid-19 Task Force. No need for the prez to answer questions for an hour every day.
