Nice addition, Bishop McDevitt has a great football tradition.

Not a subscriber but was able to grab the first two paragraphs from the newspaper article announcing his commitment:

“Not long after rising Bishop McDevitt Riley Robell stepped off the wrestling mat with his first state title in hand, he found that he was already looking forward to playing football again. Blessed with a monster 6-foot-3, 280-pound frame and the ability to play two sports at a high level, Robell had to narrow down his sport preference before he could consider chipping away at a list of scholarship offers that ran over 20 deep.

The decision was made to follow his gut and pursue football, and on Monday Robell followed the same gut instinct in picking James Madison over a list of offers that ran the full gamut of opportunities, including the Ivy League and a shot to prove himself in the Football Bowl Subdivision. Robell went with a school that offered him early and blew him away when he took his first visit.”

Agreed, and glad to see them targeting that good recruiting area; Harrisburg to Harrisonburg is a straight shot down 81 in under 3 hours.

The last Riley from PA turned out quite well.

The kid wrestled at 182 just 2 years ago and then filled out and absolutely dominated at 285. Outside of his one loss in a national tournament I believe he won every match by pin except for the state championship, and he won that 5-0.

Surprised he is not choosing to wrestle in college based on that, though it is a brutal sport. I guess he likes football better.

For his portion of the 9.9 scholarships each team gets to divide up? There’s as almost as many football scholarships in our SBC division than in all of D1 wrestling.

We are struggling in recruiting. I’m concerned a little.

Same. It seems like we are recruiting some low-level players. I know peoples opinions on stars, but it's not a good sign when we aren't getting any of them.
