Hburg, please sticky.
Yeah, I just find it odd that within hours of proudly being blessed with a Nova offer he’d be 100% committed to JMU. Either way, wise choice and welcome aboard young man!

His parents are both JMU grads so I would guess the Nova offer was just a matter of timing. He’s a solid commit with a nice frame to grow into.
This whole thing is going to be weird. We may not have a football season so it's going to be a long time before any commits put on a JMU helmet, which is gonna go for every school. I don't know how guys can get in normal shape but I guess everyone is playing from the same deck of cards.

Not exactly the same deck - what is permitted seems a bit fuzzy

Solid first commit. Plus he has a Dukes history.
It seems like -with some exceptions- we're competing against most of the same schools for every recruit. I see ODU, Liberty, the entire MAC conference consistently. Charlotte seems to be interested in the same players as well. Also, seems like Kent State goes after every kid. On top, I see a lot of Temple, Coastal Carolina, and a few others. The Ivys are there a lot of the time as well.

While I think he could have made his sarcasm better known (using a /s tag is common on other websites to notate ending a sarcastic comment), I understood him as taking the role of someone who adamantly defends scouting websites/star ratings meaning to poke fun at them.
Getting 5 players into the league so far this year has got to look good for recruiting
We don’t often talk about recruiting FCS transfers but I would love to have this kid...
i just noticed we have six QBs on the roster

Cole, Gage, the incoming Freshman and three walk-ons?

Seems like the last two years Houston and Cig wanted Gage to win the job, and he did not for whatever reason. I think it would be a feel good story if Cole won the position this/next year. He played some and helped us as a freshman, and has waited his time the last two years. I'm not sure we've had a QB that likely wants it more.
