AEW vs WWE
With the WWE going to the Performance Center with no audience for Smackdown and RAW, I was interested to see how AEW did in comparison.

AEW was at an arena, used full entrances and pyro. Had a full broadcasting crew and let all the other wrestlers be the "audience". In my opinion, it blew away the WWE replaying previous PPV matches and then having wrestlers fight to empty arenas. Shows just how much the WWE relies on fan interaction.

In the Wed night war, NXT did a two hour highlight show with no live wrestlers at all. AEW blew them out of the water.

It will be interesting to see if the WWE learned anything. Their idea to make WrestleMania a two day event playing out in an empty PC is a horrible idea when compared to AEW.

Yes, I am horribly bored since today should be the first true day of March Madness!!! 03-weeping

RE: AEW vs WWE
WWE has been concerned with AEW's going head to head with NXT. Part of the reason they have been pushing its stars on Smackdown and Raw. And sending their RAW and SMACKDOWN personnel to appear on NXT.

Personally I have been burnt out on both and have been watching Silent Service episodes on Youtube on my TV

I, for the life of me, do not understand why the WWE is doing WM. Why? It's not like they couldn't do it in, say, June if all is good then.

WM is responsible for about 70% of their stock price increase each year. The stock price stagnates or drops most of the year and then jumps right after WM.

Totally agree. Having WM in a warehouse, with little/no fans is going to be awful.

Even if they did it in an arena in front of WWE wrestlers and staff, it would be 10x better than an empty PC. Wed showed how much difference even goofy audience reaction is.

You've got BO syndrome apparently.

I have had BAKETBALL season ticket many years, dating back to when my dad and I had tickets around 6 rows behind the team at the MSC. Had them at the Pyramid (never felt as unsafe at any arena as I did in the upper deck) and the FEF. I'd put my collection of basketball programs and memorabilia against yours any day of the week.

I've also attended Tiger events from tennis to volleyball. Even watched Tiger racquetball back in the day when my dad and I played.

This is not trying to say I am a better fan in any way, I just don't use ridiculous labels that have ZERO basis in fact.

In fact my friend and I had this discussion the other day. Our former pastor was a vol football fan, but for some reason cheered for Tiger basketball. I know dozens of examples of people like that; however, I have NEVER met a single person that cheers for Tiger Football and the roots for an SEC team in basketball and denigrates those that are fans of the Tiger basketball program. That is what is meant by a "Basketball Only" fan. That you would even be ridiculous enough to suggest there are Football Only fans makes me 03-lmfao
