The C-USA rules dictate that in the event the conference tournament is canceled, the regular season champ receives the NCAA Tournament invitation. North Texas was set to be C-USA's representative in the tourney, but then the NCAA Tournament was also canceled. If any team were to have a claim to the C-USA Tournament title, it would be North Texas. But, none of this really matters anymore.

The regular season championship should mean something. Hopefully in the future, it will mean a NCAA tournament bid along with the CUSA tournament winner.

I agree. I think it would be wonderful if C-USA could one day be a two bid league.
