But it is a little bit disingenuous to say it is an undeniable championship and it is deserved and follow by questioning their schedule.

tulsa didnt chose a weaker scheadule..they played the schedule given to them..so its a deserved championship..
ive just seen a lot of tulsa hot takes about being picked 10th and winning the league..so and so team had this and we finished higher then them...almost lot removing the context of the uneven schedules

We beat UCONN @ UCONN. You lost @ UCONN. UCONN beat us at home.
Its not like @ USF and @ UCF are easy outs this year.
Temple looked good early in the season I would say @ TEmple is equivalent to @ Pony.

I would say UCONN X 2 is tougher than Pony X 2 and just as tough as UC X 2.
Temple X 2 is equal to Pony X 2

Its not really that much different but yeah I agree Coog High had a tougher draw.

smu has 1 conference loss at home all season and it took a 24 pt comeback for them to lose (9-1) ...
there is no way @smu and @temple are equivalent not even in the same world

tulane beat temple at temple at the start of conference play... smu is borderline dominant at home..

We beat Pony by 22 and Memphis by 40 in Tulsa.

Ive got a feeling we probably would've done ok @ Memphis and @ Pony.

i dont get the easy schedule take

not counting Wichita who hasnt played its second game yet, you have a loss from all those teams
tulsa is the only "top team" in the league to get ecu and tulane twice while missing most of the top teams-- not even counting smu and memphis have been bad in away games but dominant at home (technically the same for tulsa)..you only played them at home..
cincy once
smu once @home
memphis once @home

Conveniently leaves out we only got to play Cincy on their home court. It wasn't a real soft schedule. And it's not our fault the conference way underestimated us and made us play NET killers ECU, and Tulane twice.

it was a real soft schedule......also i noted the @home for 2 of the games...by default its obvious that cincy would have been the opposite by not having it...
you have 2 30pt conference losses...

i want to ask you a legitimate question, answer honestly
aac play once parings
Tulsa- H- smu, memphis A- cincy, usf
Houston - H ucf, tulane A- ecu, temple

do you think the conference standings would have been different if the schedules were flipped?

ps, im not saying you dont deserve the title, you can only play the schedule given to you, you deserve it..undeniable....but also lets not pretend you didnt have an easier path to get it

The schedule was not soft. If we played Houston's schedule we may have lost 1 or 2 additional games, but probably would have beat Cincy at home to make up for 1 of those losses.

We won. If you don't like it, go beat UConn next time. And don't bite people.

It seems so; however, there was a time throughout most of the 1990s and 2000's when it could be safely assumed that both the tournament champ and the regular season champ of a similarly competitive conference (e.g., the Atlantic 10) would get an NCAA invitation.

Given Tulsa's excellent conference record and home court advantage, the Hurricane might have a good chance at post-season success if they end up in the NIT.

Congratulations Tulsa well deserved!

it is too bad the conference doesn't get as much respect as it should or you guys would be in the dance as the conference champions.
there are a few tough teams and not many easy outs in the AAC.

i hope one of our teams makes it far in the tournament but i think this year we just have tough teams but no real killer. maybe next year we will a final 4 team.

There's no reason to think that Tulsa, Houston and Cincy won't get NCAA bids.

WSU to the NIT

lol Tulsa has a football program? How many fans are you guys hauling in to those intramural matches?

More than you can fit in that so called basketball arena of yours.

Quite a statement there.

Several high schools around here also draw more fans for football than Wichita ever could for basketball.

lol why did we change a basketball discussion to football?

Surely not to deflect from Tulsa’s championship basketball attendance?

I still can’t believe Tulsa lost to Arkansas St. ASU finished near the bottom of the Sun Belt and just lost in the first round of their tourney. Maybe the AAC should be a one bid league.

Thats my concern. Im concerned Tulsa, a team with some really bad losses, winning a share of the league championship may affect the leagues perception on the committee when those at large bids are being decided on.

The fact that UC-Covington fans, Hitachi and Pesik are melting over their rough and tough schedules makes me happy.

I just hope we dont have to share a *Title with those inferior programs.

Regardless of seed, Tulsa will lose by 30 to someone in the conference tournament. It’s how they do.
