Need AFA to join so you can have 3 triple option teams a year.

We're gonna give up 5,000 yards rushing those seasons.

Or not. Maybe practice makes perfect.

Idk. A couple years ago we played New Mexico, Tulane, and Navy. All option offenses. We seemed to get worse with each one. Of course, each team was probably better than the last.
Good series with Army though, regardless.

Army loves the Southwest for recruiting troops and officers. Good for Tulsa.

Is Tulsa really the Southwest? It is east of Wichita.

Tulsa is closer to Midwest than Southwest. But the state as a whole doesn't really belong to a specific region. As Paul Blart: Mall Cop would say, "They're their own thing".

Yeah we are kind of in the middle. I think the plains are the only geographical location everyone agrees we belong to.

The service academies & georgia southern are the only ones who currently run a pure play QB behind center option. Tulane & New Mexico run the rpo "option" which is a whole other bird (zone blocking), of execution when compared to the "wishbone".
You guys have played Navy for sure. Army doesn't seem to stretch the field as effectively as Navy. But they are both very difficult teams to prepare for as most players lack sufficient experience defending a brutally efficient wish bone.
BTW, Army is a great place for a road visit in the fall. Fly into NYC and spend a couple of days after the game in the apple. West Point is 64 miles north of the city.

Texas and Oklahoma pretty much share common culture/accents and manerisms. Oilmen and Cowboy culture.
Oklahoma is tgered haired stepchild of Texas but still technically related.
Tulsa is like the Austin of OK.
OKC is kindof like Houston. Big and Spread Out
SE Oklahoma is very Southern and Hillbilly
SW is just like NW Texxa
