I know it’s been 17 years but that has to be a Top 3 (if not the top) moment in Huskie Stadium. I had forgotten about Azar’s late FG…so clutch. The crowd was absolutely insane. The shot of them at the 3:11 mark man. Miss those days of a packed stadium.

That night was so much fun.

Welp there went 2 hours for me...

Forgot Nick Novak was their kicker, pretty good K's on the field that day.

Man the energy...

Sheldon comes back from injury. Fleck with that crazy catch (he had a very similar one a couple weeks later I believe vs. Ohio.

You got to love Sheldon. His post game interview is hilarious. Says you couldn't have kept him out of this game even if he had a torn ACL or something like that. What a special player he was.

Hey! No, he's my hero... Oh, wait a minute. Sorry, I thought you were talking about Rod Blagojevich.

Me too..won 7 out of 9 mac champs and were never ranked 120 in preseason rankings...but Iam sure a lot will change for the positive this year...huh??

FYI - responding to a coach Carey remark...not iniating this

Fleck pretty impressive in the post-game interview too, so good it was replayed on ESPN. Hate him or love him (I assume from your name you're a lover), he was already showing the energy and polish he has now.

I do love PJ. He's a little bit goofy but the couple times i met him back in the mid-2000s he was a very nice guy. Maybe not the greatest husband but that's really not of my concern.
Fox Sports did a fantastic job with this game. It's a shame NIU doesn't have TV coverage like this anymore. Also, the uniforms were so much better back then.

That didn't take long; short article on the best and worst case scenarios for the 2020 FB schedule.

https://collegefootballnews.com/2020/02/...n-analysis

It is CFN, but it looks to be not to far off.

Basically a coin flip in other words. Personally I think the team rebounds and will be in the hunt for the MAC and one or two OOC wins. Maybe that's my Huskie bias talking but it's as accurate as any other prediction.

Cold hotdogs. Or no hotdogs.

Was just looking at WMU's schedule. They get Toledo at home on a Saturday in October and have a bye week before playing us. Must be nice.

The last time I saw Toledo at home, I had a full head of hair and was just getting out of puberty.

I think I saw the game on a black and white TV.

I know it's a case of being spoiled, but possibly being in the hunt for a championship game in an increasingly bad conference just doesnt get the juices flowing. NIU football needs to get back to top 40 status

RE: MAC 2020 Football Schedule Release
It really pays to suck in the MAC as far as scheduling goes. Akron has 11/12 games on saturday. BG 10/12. BG especially has a great first half schedule. Open at OSU(2 hour drive) then 4 out of next 5 at home.

Heavy fog at night is a good way too, just bad for the drive home.

Anyone notice on the TD to go up 10-7 (1:10:50 in video) how PJ Fleck’s catch nearly dives right into a guy in a wheelchair as he frantically “wheels” backwards?
