CMU prevailed in Mt Pleasant 68 - 67 when Huskies could not hold late lead. CMU only led for 48 seconds but it was the important seconds. The Huskies have lost two in a row but CMU has lost four in a row. CMU (6 - 6) trails Huskies (8 - 5) in the West. CMU has make up game against Miami on a Thursday late in season.

Have to win today at home to keep shot at three seed.

This is the biggest game since Monty has been the coach! A Huskie win today and a Ball St loss to EMU would put NIU in the drivers seat for the 3or4 seed. Finally a great weather day for a NIU football or basketball game this sports season.

I'm excited for the game but still reeling from the Miami Ohio loss. Hopefully the guys have put it behind them. The results from around the conference since last week have been mostly favorable for the huskies. They need to get the W and knock CMU out of the MAC west race and continue their pursuit for a top 4 seed. Akron and Bowling Green are near locks for the 2 of the top spots. NIU puts themselves in good position for the 3 or 4 spot along with Buffalo with a win today. A loss opens the door for Ball State, Central Michigan, and Kent State.

Lose this one and it really feels like a late season collapse (although they could still save it), win this one and we forget a bit about that Miami loss (but boy was it bad).

My ROKU feed is terrible so went to laptop and it is fine. There was almost a minute delay on ROKU and I was getting double audio. Go Daow

I have to think someone made it a point to Daow to become a factor. Mateen may not score often, but it sure seems like his 3-pointers are always at the right time
