And not being dead?

I wasn't here in October to rub all y'all's noses in the WS win because I got to the point where CSNBBS was just too far down the priority list. I logged out in the spring to focus on new work, managing the family through COVID insanity here in California, and partly because this place got more than a little bit aggravating. After a while I kind of got used to not logging in.

But eventually I got a little curious to see how y'all reacted and some of the comments are properly hilarious. I'm sure you can imagine how pissed/worried/freaked out I was at that ridiculous Game 4 loss. It was incredibly difficult not to start thinking about all the other crazy @#$% LA had been through in previous playoff runs and conclude that we were doomed. But the good guys (03-wink) prevailed and restored order to the universe. I'm almost carefree as I look at the Dodgers moves (or lack thereof) this offseason. Of course, I reserve the right to call for Friedman's head NEXT offseason if he loses Seager and/or doesn't make a huge splash.

Anyhoo, I probably won't post as much going forward - just too busy - but I'll pay attention and check in from time to time. Cheers!

Oh I pictured your reaction to it. Saw on a place the top 5 bloopers for the season and that was #1.

All I was thinking in that 6th game was how you would be lol'ing that the other manager was going like Dave Roberts and Dave Roberts was managing with his gut. It was pretty darn funny.

Great to see you. Hope you aren't a stranger. We actually have a few more on here now :)

Couldn't agree more. We know Tommy had been imploring the last few teams to win one more WS before he died and it was great to see that happen.

Not sure if I've mentioned here before but I met Tommy when I was in little league. He was still LA's 3rd base coach and showed up to give out trophies at our awards ceremony. Had a short but really nice chat with the man and have been a huge fan ever since. I know he was a lightning rod for many but I was truly sad to see him go.

yeah- he seemed like a great guy... Still remember him on The Baseball Bunch with Johnny Bench and the San Diego Chicken.

If the season starts on time the Nats are actaully your home opener this season so will get to see the tribute for him.

Can you believe Vin Scully is now on Twitter?

No, I can't. It's hard to imagine he's actually managing the technology himself but the messages really do read like stuff Vin says. I don't think it's just some personal assistant he hired to manage his account. It's remarkable.
