A little broader look
In 76/99 mock brackets
Get to 18-5 and would think as a snapshot that is in

That's kind of messed up. I guess Cincy winning bumped us down at least with ESPN.

Even though we beat Cincy
They Zapruder film any analysis of some school and some, apparently like a Memphis, lose a game big and have a singular 4/6 losing stretch, and out with a tough road to get back in
Surely winning tomorrow and following that up with two road wins next week would be solidly back in but who knows

Cinci is in because he puts the team in first place in the league into the bracket...Cinci is in first place...Hence they are in.
The biggest travesty is Michigan as a 9 seed...
4-7 in league and 13-9 overall...They beat Gonzaga...I know yeah...Very good team but you gotta look at the rest of the year.
How about 13-10 Wisconsin as an 8 seed.

We looked like a high school team on CBS. We've done this to ourselves.
We just need to win one game at a time and hope others keep losing.

We didn't do this to ourselves.
First, the NCAA under the orders of Duke and Kentucky did this to us.
Second, Wiseman quitting, when the going got tough, did this to us.
Third, Lester's and DJ's injuries did this to us and DJ's illness
Fourth, we're in, so stop worrying. We are finally putting the pieces together, continuing to play great defense, hitting more of our open 3's and all the while ranked 5th from the bottom in turnovers, perhaps the easiest stat to fix.
We probably won't win it all, but we might surprise some with a win or 2 or 3 in the NCAA's.

The old fan mentality sneaking back into the psyche. No we have had some set backs we had no control over. That's a lot for our youngsters to overcome. Give them time. DJ is coming back. Lance and LQ are making noise. Mal D is still playing his way to shape. Penny is taking more control of the offense and the D is playing far better than expectations....most of the time. I think we can have an interesting run if there are no more setbacks.

The Big Ten always gets the benefit of the doubt. It's crazy. Indiana is a 9. I don't think they're in. The argument is that they all beat the crap out of each other and all get in. Doesn't make sense.

Don't waste your energy worrying about one or two people's brackets.
Look at an aggregation of 99 (like Mimi said).
bracketmatrix.com is the only projection I look at anymore.

Hey, if this were to happen it would be monumental. That would be playing WAY above our heads. Just making it to the tournament at this point in the season after everything that has happened would be a fantastic success.

We currently have only 1 win against teams even considered on the bubble (Cinci) and 3 losses against non-ncaa teams incl. 2 at home and a 40 point road beating. I can see how someone might be skeptical of our resume.

Michigan and Wisconsin both have 4 wins against likely Tourney teams, we have a grand total of 1 right now.
If we dont go at least 2-2 in our remaining 4 games against Cinci/Houston/Wichita then we have no room to complain when we miss the tourney

Exactly, just making it at this point would be a huge victory for this team.

They are doing to CBB what they’ve done to CFB. Wins outside the P5 don’t matter and don’t count. Slowly but surely it will get worse.

Not saying that I disagree with you . But, that would be a real tragedy. There are many 'good basketball schools' outside of the power 5 (Nova,Cincy, maybe us, zags, Gtown, etc etc). We are not blue bloods. But, we are a HUGE part of college basketball.
