Guilty as charged. Can't believe she slipped my mind.

Didn’t mention her by name, but definitely did not slip my mind. She was an international star in that sport and helped JMU earn its first NC.

Carole was really cool and super nice. She lived on my dorm hall one year.

Thanks, all, especially Longhorn. Most of those are sports I don't follow much, other than soccer and T&F, and names I'm not familiar with, but I appreciate the info. I was really curious as in the places I've lived, having a local Olympian is a Very Big Deal indeed. :)

edit: forgot she goes by Corky Julien

Took USA to extra time in 2012 Olympic Semis. Looks like she played in a lot of the qualifying games but didn't end up making the olympic roster.

Obviously timing matters a lot with making the Olympics, and playing with the national team is different than being on the Olympic squad, but I'm surprised we don't have more field hockey and women's soccer participants. I just felt like there was always 2+ national team player in those sports for like a 10 year run.

Jaz just signed a training camp contract with the Connecticut Sun. I sure hope she can get back into the WNBA and showcase her talents and capabilities. Keeping fingers crossed!!

I'd love to see her back in the W. She was severely misused by the Fever. But first, I can't wait to see her on the Olympic courts!

You may have to wait for 4 years.

Um....she plays for the Puerto Rico team that made the Olympic Games. Do you know something I don't know?

I think he's alluding to the Coronavirus scare potentially holding up the Olympics

Correct. The IOC and Tokyo are saying the games will go on but there are many that question that the games may be in jeopardy.

Bummer for Jaz as the Olympics has been postponed. Hopefully, not for good, but not looking likely for 2020. Maybe 2021???

Australia told their athletes to prepare for a 2021 Olympic Games. I think that would work just fine and give the world enough time to recover.
