SEC Disbursement
SEC just paid out $45 million per team from TV money. Next year it will be $60+ per with the new Saturday afternoon deal.

Wild that one team in the SEC will make almost as much money as the entire AAC.

And after all that, they can still only put 11 guys on the field at a time.

Most of their teams use some of that money to buy players. That's why they are known as the $EC ($ure Everybody Cheats).

Congrats to the SEC. This is where the AAC wants to be. The AAC has to fight for recruits and ratings in the same area as the SEC and the ACC, and are doing a respectable job of it.

Just keep up the good fight and maybe be rewarded if staying the course.

RE: SEC Disbursement
The big issue here is that certain programs in the ACC (Clemson, Florida State) Big 12 (Texas, Oklahoma) and PAC 12 (UCLA and USC) can't be happy with the fact that teams in the SEC and B10 will be making more than $20M/year than them. This is all going to result in further consolidation if unchecked.

Wrong. That disbursement paid out to the schools from the conference doesnt buy players. That's what boosters and shoe companies are for.

RE: SEC Disbursement
Sooner or later the SEC's and B1G's of the word are going to realize that they NEED the AAC's of the world.

... but I'm sure that won't stop them from hogging all the money to themselves anyway.

The B12 teams are fine. In 2019, the B12 distributed 38.8M to each team not including tier 3 rights which are owned by each team. It is expected that conference distribution will increase to 44-45M by the time the rights expire in 24-25.

Having Texas the ability to have the LHN has a lot more to do with the survival of the Big12-2.
