In the last three years, how many people have you talked with that you don't really know? I'd venture to say that it is well over a hundred people.

How many important people in my career / dealing with my business have I met that later I would say I "didn't know"? Has to be near zero. Like I said, maybe he doesn't know a few people he says he doesn't know, but this is obviously a trend. Any time anything bad happens revolving around a person, he just says he doesn't know them. "I don't know them" is just covering your *** ...or maybe he really does have dementia. And I can understand him meeting a ton of people. He probably meets a ton more than any of us ever will in our lifetimes, but this just happens so often at this point.

During my 40+ year career working on ships for the U. S. Navy, I have encountered hundreds if not thousands of Naval Personnel, Contractors, and Government Employees from other locations/departments that I have done business with. While I had a business conversation with them, and in some cases I had numerous work related conversations with them, that in no way should or does mean that I actually know the person. There is a huge difference between knowing a person and having a working relationship with the person.

In many cases, a month or so after our work contact had ended I might not even remember the person's name - depending on just how involved and lengthy (or brief) our working relationship was. A few others I remember for many years after our work together ended.

My meetings with Dan Fouts and others were by contract, not 'chance'... only really Jack Nicholson and Reba were 'chance'. The others, they were supposed to be there and at least on some level, so was I.
