Ummmm... We're not talking about the leak and how this letter applies to it. Of course there is nothing about the leaker in the letter. That's not their job.
and the part you highlighted, you've argued a meaningless point.
I never said you didn't know this, I merely made the comment. He did what he should have done... which supports the idea that had he been out to 'get' Trump, he would have known the proper way to do it.... nothing more.
Quote:Your assumption is that the left wants this thing leaked with supposed classified material and all and I've seen no one who's requested that. Of course I'm sure you're willing to trust the government here as it's in your interest to do so, but Bolton is smart enough not to submit a document riddled with classified material. It simply flies in the face of rational thought.
A) not my assumption. The assumption of the person who said it. I just understand his comment.
B) it's not remotely about trust, merely about protocol
C) I don't think Bolton knows every single thing that the government deems classified. Nobody is THAT smart. That's the whole purpose of submitting the document. If he knew it, why would he write it?
It doesn't remotely fly in the face of rational thought that someone like Bolton who understands that his book MAY contain classified material (because he has to submit it to have it certified) would take that seriously. Obviously he didn't think it was classified otherwise he wouldn't have written it... but he surely knew (though his job description and the NDA he signed, plus you know, the fact that he submitted it properly) that it was possible.
Quote:My, and most all of the left that I've seen, only desire is for Bolton to testify. I don't care if his book ever sees the light of day...unless he's donating all the proceeds to charity.
Take your blinders off.
So why didn't the house, controlled by the left, compel that testimony? Why are they asking the Senate, controlled by the right to do so instead?
THAT flies in the face of logic. Seriously, if that were their only desire... they had the means to compel that testimony under their total control.
