You'd also have to be clueless about basketball to watch this year's team play and describe them as "garbage." Our top six players consist of two Juniors and four Sophomores...and the four sophomores might prove to be our top four players by the end of the season. They have four one-possession losses. They've also only had three games where they were clearly overmatched.

This year's team was always going to need time to gel. If you can't appreciate their fight this year, you don't have any right to enjoy their inevitable success later this season or the next two years.

I don’t accept the premise that every 4 years we start over after a good year and frankly I doubt that Broderick or Selig accept it either. This swoon is a result of the several players who bolted over the Summer and Goodwin and Dinkens leaving (who were supposed to step up and make up for departing players). This is a reoccurring theme with Jones. He is a weak recruiter and a terrible judge of who will excel in his system.
We were plenty bad before Wade went down and plenty bad before Godwin and Dickens left... like 3-9 bad. Let's not set these events up as an excuse for JJ, Lil' Woody and the direction of the program.

We’re in agreement. JJ owns what has occurred this year and it’s unacceptable.

Or forced to leave due to issues that the school could not allow to continue.
