Southern Miss is ranked 132 in recruiting. NIU is a move up.

Plus they offered 346 players. Not really choosy are they?

This kid had an offer from Southern Miss and chose us. Sleeper?

He is listed as 6'1 and looks it. looks like he turns and runs well. Put some lbs on him and we have a player. Really like the way Hammock recruits.

An NU friend I have told me NIU is the favorite for Ruiz but I’m unsure how reliable that info is. Apparently he wants to stay close to home.

Hammock, Eidness, and Rocky all are following the TE on twitter so I would be that’s happening

Both guys have 2 years left. Both guys would fill a huge void.

The TE is like a bigger, faster Crawford (if you watch his tape on his Twitter.)

The corner started for Northwestern. I have to imagine he’s better than What we trot out there each game.

That said, I can’t get my hopes up. I doubt we hear anything on either guy for months - I think both are grad transfers, so they likely have to graduate before hammock says anything.
