I figured it out. It wasnt enough to just beat them and be done with it.
Had to give them a glimmer of hope and then REALLY twist the knife and push it deeper. For maximum pain.
It was our parting gift. Lmao

As has been stated many times, you do not have to be standing still to get a charge. Nor are you required to make space for someone to land. If the offensive player is out of control (definitely true for this call) and makes a bad decision he is not bailed out because the defensive player wasn't a statue. Every player has a right to the space on the court. A foul is when someone makes physical contact for an advantage. Gilbert knocked down a defender in proper position who was first to the spot on the floor by initiating contanct.
That is a charge, all day, every day, it is a point of emphasis this year and the refs are calling it correctly for the first time in decades. The possesion of the ball does not change the fundamental rules. Contact to gain advantage is a foul.
Throwing yourself in front of someone in the air is not a charge

This is a fact. The "standing still" rule changed a few years ago
lol. You have to be in legal guarding position for your whole “not have to be standing still” to apply here. That was an obvious block. You can’t slide into someone after he leaves the floor. Be better than this, bro.

It was an awful call but the kind of awful call officials make all the time. They are terrible at calling the charge/ block. Honestly I think that play is sadly called a charge more often than a block.

It’s not. You cannot be “leaning” into someone after they left the floor. Not sure why this is such a difficult concept to grasp.

Free throw attempts were 42-24 in favor of UCONN. Clearly the refs had it out for the Huskies.

Throwing yourself in front of someone in the air is not a charge
He did not throw himself.
Watch the replay. Udeze covered his nuts, slid to his right and established position on the floor before Gilbert made contact. As a coach this play is why you stress control to your guards, once you leave the ground you have no control and limited time to make decisions. You can not have a right to a space you did not occupy first.
Again this isn't really a new rule, it a new interpretation and a point of emphasis so it's more obvious to fans, especially older ones who have watched basketball by the old standard. This is the correct call, it will be called this way from now on, just as the rolling block call from a pick and roll will be called an illegal screen. This evens it out for the creation of the restricted area under the basket and the emphasis on calling hand checking. It opens the game up.

usf's lack of support really baffles me.... i get bandwagon nature, that some of our schools have extreme bandwagon like smu
usf dont even show even if usf is good...iln either sport.. they have insanely huge enrollment.. im not talking today specifically just in general
