This is becoming my favorite running gag on this board. Every game they play, Memphis says they didn’t play well. Things haven’t clicked yet, just wait. Etc etc
Isn't that what we all say about all Freshmen across college BB?
It would be a lot more fair if we didn’t just spend an entire football season hearing the same thing.
I’m really not trying to come on too strong, but it’s a little funny. It’s happened A LOT this year across both sports.

I guess we can all "unclick" the Wiseman saga at this point, lol. We are what we are without him. AAC, Memphis, and all.

I think it’s more fair to say Memphis has played really well this year. They will still improve as freshman settle in, but the ceiling without Wiseman isn’t going to be what people hoped.
You also have to be careful because freshman laden teams haven’t always been rock solid in the NCAA tournament. The variance is still very large so you never know.

Well gag on this. They're starting four freshman. They're going to be up and down like a yo-yo all the way til March. They're coming together through a lot of distractions. They're the YOUNGEST team in the NCAA. What do you expect us to say? If you can't see they have potential then you're blind. If you can't see they have a high ceiling, then you're "blinder".

You are constantly sad and dreary about your hopeless Tigers one second and then exclaim “life is awesome” the next.
I don’t expect many with the condition to admit they have it.

How is Memphis unpredictable at 11-1 while playing a decent non conference record?

I didn't get that either. Memphis and WSU have been the most consistent so far and have the best resumes so far

Right? It’s not even close for both our teams. I still can’t decide if Miggy is trolling.

Wiseman's short stay helped Memphis land Precious Achiuwa, Boogie Ellis, and Lester Quinones...so thanks for that, James!

Memphis, WSU, and Houston aren't included in the poll, because the consensus appears to be that all 3 are likely NCAA teams.
If Cincy splits those 3 series (picking up 2-3 Q1 wins), they will have a chance to make the NCAA, provided that they win 13 or 14 conference games and don't have any bad losses. They would probably have to win 1 or 2 AAC tournament games to bring their total to 22 wins. This will be almost as challenging as winning the AAC tourney for an auto bid. The GAMER model predicts a 16-14 regular season finish (http://realtimerpi.com/rpi_217_Men.html), but if team health status improves, they should be able to win at least 19 or 20 games.
A 9-3 team like UCF may have a slightly easier path. They could get to 22 wins by going 13-5 in conference play, or 12-6 in conference play and winning 1 AAC tourney game. They'll probably have to pick up ≥3 Q1/Q2 wins, as they are currently 0-1 in those categories, but will have plenty of opportunities in conference play. They only play Memphis (@ UCF) and Houston once. The GAMER model predicts 17-13 regular season (http://realtimerpi.com/rpi_141_Men.html), but 22-8 can't be ruled out.
Temple, at 8-3, has two more OOC games (Nova & Penn). They would have to split these two games and go 13-5 in conf. play or 12-6 + 1 AAC tourney game, to get to 22 wins. Temple has two factors that may give them a boost: Their current Q1/Q2 record is 3-3 (2-0 in away games), and they only play Memphis and Houston (@ Temple) once this season. However, much will depend on team health status, and whether injured players will be able to become solid contributors. The GAMER model predicts a 21-10 reg. season finish. http://realtimerpi.com/rpi_120_Men.html
UConn's situation, at 8-3, is similar to Temple's, in that they are currently 2-2 in Q1/Q2 games, and need to pick up 14 wins to end up with 22 wins. Like Temple, they have two OOC games remaining, including a matchup with Villanova. They only play Wichita State once, (@ UConn), but play UH and Memphis twice. The GAMER model predicts a 20-11 reg season finish. http://realtimerpi.com/rpi_155_Men.html
You are using 22 wins equally in all these circumstances, but SOS is going to matter heavily. Records won’t be created equally.
NC SOS As of today:
Temple: 16
Cincy: 20
UConn: 81
UCF: 179
UCF has a much higher hill to climb than the others.
True, given that their current Q1/Q2 record is 0-1. But a few Q1/Q2 wins would change that situation.
Good point about SOS and NC SOS being "heavy" factors.
