Look at Tech, as soon as the CUSA POY was suspended, I knew Tech would not win without him. FAU would not have won without their skinny QB from Mesquite

Strange, I thought Knox was CUSA POTY.

Knox was MVP. J'Mar was Off POTY.

The days of hiring that OC from a big program may be gone, they make too much money to take a chance of messing it up at G5. I like our hire cause he has head coaching experience. When you look at the hires at G5, that seems to be a rarity unless you are hiring someone with baggage. I think a lot of times schools hang on to a coach because they have no one they can replace him with that would be better.

Didn't FAU just do that with Kiffin or was Kiffin considered Damaged goods before FAU gave him a second chance?

Who could repeat that
*cough* Kendall Briles *cough*
Any school that hired him would need a long morals clause but the man can coach. I am referring to Briles not kiffin. Kiffin was actually a decent guy even though for FAU he was in effect a hired gun designed to quickly to get FAU's program out of the gutter.

It's a head-scratcher. Marshall lost to Charlotte and a 4-8 MTSU.

It's not though. We are average. Average was good enough to almost win CUSA this year.

Truth: if Marshall played in the AAC this year, we would be under .500

This was a sub-standard year for marshall, that much is true. But i think Marshall would have still had an about .500 season. maybe better, depending on the schedule.

P.S. I suspect that if Marshall were in the AAC, they would have a slightly better recruit pool, and better money pool, due to the TV deal.

Thanks for the support. I'm just proud FAU looked good in the Boca Bowl.
